Wasn't impressed by Hoovield ending up at left wing after we were reduced to 9 men. Rodriguez certainly wasn't impressed either!
The problem with Fox is against any pacey player he is torn to shreds. He's caught badly on the counter also by them. Same thing happened last season.
Agree with Morgan as captain. Ramirez? Well, for every negative thing there is a positive thing. Lallana often gives the ball away and is selfish - he is still a very good Saints player, but one who was appalling on Saturday, yet only got a few remarks commenting that he didn't play well. There's a difference there. You said that in your original post Ramirez was doing some good stuff; I'll take thoseas positive impacts. My point is that you focus on his negative points.
I normally take a pragmatic view of Fox and think he has been treated harshly by some fans, however I don't think he was his normal self yesterday. I thought he was very, very poor. His crossing was awful, he continually gave it away and his deicsion to shoot in the first half.... well.
I've just watched the interview with MoPo on player - he is furious! His face is like thunder!! I hope he gave them some of that Latin American charm and kicks them up the backside for that performance. Who knows, 3 points at Spurs anyone? Stranger things have happened.......
Not expecting a win necessarily, but there is no reason why not. We have beaten good sides...we can beat anyone on our day. The difference between us and a top side is consistency. We are not at that standard yet, but neither are we a dead cert to lose.
