Agreed. The ball would have actually favoured Frederici, if he had been a little quicker coming out from his goal. But he hesitated. That's the way it goes sometimes.
I thought Artur was brilliant today. A couple of people were worried about him juggling the ball, but I felt he was in perfectly good control all the time. The throw out from behind the line was brilliant, but his all round goalkeeping was just assured. Every cross he came for he made his by punching it or catching it. The one where he had to follow it up, because he had so many players in the way, he committed to the ball and got a knock to the head. Very brave... and a bit mad, which is why he's grown on me a lot these last few months.
Yes that too. If he'd been quicker though he could have gathered it, negating the need to keep low and block it.
I've yet to see a shot that shows it over the line, was certainly marginally over but not the whole ball.
Goal line camera showed it to be 75-80% over the line. Good call by the lino. I think he was watching the game on his mobile. I'm sure it'll be on MOTD.
Yeah Federici did let himself down there, if he committed he would have earned the foul, as it was there was practically no contact. It seems like Reading have got now what we had earlier in the season - 3 goalkeepers who can't keep the jersey. And a really crap defence. Also Sky needed 25 replays to convince themselves what me and the ref knew after one look, Jos played the ball and Robson-Kanu was looking for it.
The touchline camera clearly showed that you could never see the whole ball. There's no way any human could have seen that anyway in real time, so you can't give it.
True. The officials just got lucky in making the right decision. Or they both had superhuman eyesight.

I've done a tour of the forums of most PL teams tonight (bit bored) and everyone seems to love us, weird. I've never known anything like it in my time supporting Saints!
I've been buzzing since Dinner and being a Saints fan a dour 1-0 with 1 chance all game can sometimes do that. Imagine the other's are viewing it much as when I watch ManU. A kind of jealousy at how good they play whilst wishing my own team could play that way. Real good feeling for next season after today. Strange this has got me more excited than the ManC/Liverpool/Chelsea games
United and Liverpool forums are probably leading the love-in. Even a couple of the fabled Barcelona comparisons on Red and White Kop.
