Unselfish player. After he gets his one he likes to set up the others. Unfortunately "One-Goal-and-Multiple-Assists" doesn't have quite the same ring.
He seems to make more than his fair share. Lambert hardly ever misplaces a pass. Lallana, a few, hasn't had his best year, but we know what he can do. S Davis is fairly consistent. Punch had such a good start to the season that this slight drop in form seems almost inevitable. J-Rod has grown as the season goes on. Obviously everyone makes mistakes, even the great MLT, but it gets to a point when you wonder if a player deserves his place in the team. There was a lot of talk when we signed Gaston that he was a fantastic player who obviously wants to play in England, and Saints were mearly a stepping stone for bigger and better things; that he was here because his starting place was gaurenteed, and we would eventually sell him on at a profit. It seems to me we have a lot of developing players who perform better, and a lot of "finished article" players who are prepared to do a lot more work for the team. Gaston has had plenty of chances to prove himself as one of our top 11 players, but IMO hasn't done so.
Incidently, Lambert's touch was sublime today. The great thing is that it seems to be getting better and better.
No matter what, I love everyone on here. Not being from the Hampshire area, I still consider all Saints fans to be awesome... I've never actually met any outside of my family (not counting those met at St Marys). Really happy with the 3 points today, I'm at the match next week, that's our cup final. Beating WH would just be great (also we've lost every game I've been too this season).
Ramirez is our best technical player. Today it proved that when ever he was on the ball.., To say he hasn't performed is a bloody ridiculous statement. He is still settling in to England, The premier league and isn't always starting game after game.. Not to mention he picked up a a couple of injuries in the season which is prob causing him to be bit wary of physicality of the premier league! I'm certain that he will be a INTEGRAL part of team next season.
Hooiveld and Yoshida are actually a half decent partnership in my opinion. Jos deals with the headers, Yoshida deals with the ground work and the tackles, it's quite effective.
Some people just love Fonte. He's their favourite centre back so they want him playing. It's as simply as that really. The best partnership right now is Hoovield and Yoshida whether they like it or not.

Agree with this. Yoshida's the best CB at the moment and although Fonte, IMO, is better than Hooiveld, the Fonte-Yoshida partnership doesn't have someone who can dominate aerially and are both better at tackling. As long as we don't partner Fonte and Hooiveld together, which wasn't that effective in the Championship (albeit we did draw with Norwich with them two at CB).
It was great, I know I've said it a hundred times but thanks again! I'm sure you still enjoyed it on TV..?
