"Reading's former chief Nigel Adkins" The point of training is not always to learn something new, but to improve something you know already. It's pretty patronising to suggest Adkins is teaching them to pass and move, and I am pretty sure there are similar drills going on at Staplewood as well.
Just watching Nigel on SSN in the build-up to Saturday's game. Top, top man and seeing him speak for the first time since his sacking reminds me of how much I loved the guy. Anyway, onwards and upwards with Poch!

If you get to watch the full press conference, this interview is an absolute pleb. Talks to MP like a two-year old, keeps repeating himself. Daft questions and he calls Boruc, "Borak/Borat".
I thought it was quite an interesting one actually. I particularly liked Pochettino's explanation of how transfer rumours start, basically: "We have scouts watching players all over the world, they have to get accreditation to watch games and if they ask for the same accreditation twice, people get the idea that we're interested in a player, that's how it works" And as for whether there is any substance to the Sané rumours: "No none, I've never heard of him" So I guess we can expect him to arrive at the club at the earliest available opportunity He is certainly better at giving straight answers than Adkins is.
It's decent in the regard that we are getting straight answers. However, the first interviewer irritated me.
I'm not too sure what you're complaining about, he speaks clearly and clarify's what he wants to be asked, quite a good interviewer for a manager who doesn't understand English too well, in my opinion.
Just a lot of questions that have been done to death, just seems a bit ill-informed too. And he has a translator, you don't have to speak like he does! But fair enough, it's been a long day.
Just seen Adkins has said he thinks we will finish in the top ten. Bit of an awkward answer for Reading fans perhaps as it is difficult to see how that will happen if we don't beat them!
If Lawro always thought we would be okay, he kept it well hidden. How could we stay up if, according to him, we lost every match!!! I cannot believe he went for a Reading win. Of course Reading can win, but, since he always goes for the obvious winner in every other match, why not this one?
I think with Lawro, when he predicts a loss and we draw/win, he thinks "ah, they're due a loss" and it leads on to the next week, etc. If we lost more, like Reading have, he'd think "they're due a win" more often and we'd be doing better in his league table.
