Saints seem pretty confident. Keeping area around stadium clear, and plan to be out again tomorrow to do the same. Plus, it's on TV so Sky won't let it happen....
Bugger, I wondered why I was the only one in and no-one was answering my calls ... (You should have a look at 6pm on weekdays, some of em have been at it all day)
OK, he met mine. Your garden must look lovely. Thank you for your valid response to my bitchin. I hope the game's not called off on Monday as it will provide an outlet for us all and get us all back to the team and football.
You weren't bitching, you were expressing an opinion. Some people do bitch though. The garden is ok, but the house is mostly re-decorated!!
As for the game I have a slight concern in the lack of 1st team coaching continuity for this one. I know Reed & the academy staff are still there, but how organised and how ready can Pochettino be not only our team but for Everton?
I suspect he will change very little for the first game...the team will play better when it is familiar. Luke said it was a tough training session...an Espanyol player said at the end of a session you sometimes want to kill him. The team are pretty fit so they shoud be alright in that aspect of it, but intense concentration can be tiring.
"stop the supply down the left for Fellaini" "keep possession and don't give it away easily when we get it" "I want you to press them high up the pitch so they don't get time on the ball to settle" "show me what you've got" I get what you are saying, and the above is a little flippant, but I bet he could offer three or four simple things that would send them out with a plan. He's been watching a lot of games.
Now I like that. I am not a gambling man in terms of money at the book makers, however on odd special occassions I go with a long shot first goal scorer. My success to date are: David Prutton v Liverpool 1995 33-1 Nigel Quashie v Spuds 1995 16-1 Jos Hooiveld v Derby 2012 33-1 I've only done it about 5 times, but may be doing it on Monday night for Corkey!!
Pearce is at the game as well so after Chelsea a couple of quid on Shaw who is 50/1 could also be in order!
Yes but it's the getting to the stadium that could stop it, we all know we have like one gritter for the whole of Hampshire.
Sensible comments from Moyes. Have a lot of time for him as a manager! Pochettino led Espanyol to four successive mid-table finishes and Moyes has respect for the former Argentina international's coaching ability. "I've seen his teams play. I don't know him personally but he looks as if he's a modern, young coach who will have a lot of knowledge of Spanish football, which will help him. "You can see it's helped Swansea with Michael Laudrup coming in, it's given them an opportunity to have a little bit of a head-start on players at the lower level who could possibly step up and I would expect him to be very much the same."
The team tomorrow will be a different beast that lost 3-1. We had no Morgan and Cork in the middle, Clyne was playing LB and Richardson RB and we gave them too much space all around. 1-1 draw for me
It appears our new manager was satirised on Spanish Television:
Yep, just read these even more sensible comments from him as well: "I think if they're going to have a protest it'll be more in support of Nigel Adkins. But I don't think Southampton supporters can protest at the way their club has moved forward in the last two or three years."
I see CBK and friends have been getting ready for the game on Monday Night.....
