In any case buddy, we've both had two very legitimate claims for penalties. The ref has been indiscriminately ****.

Michael Owen gives Nat Clyne MOTM. About bloody time that he got some recognition.

The fact that he was looking for it doesn't alter the FACT that he was fouled. It was a shocking decision.

Stones has twice handled the ball with his arm outstretched. Cork's hand was next to his body for his handball claim, and Osman dived.

His arms weren't outstretched and the ball was fired at him from about a yard for both claims, neither were penalties.

Osman was fouled - end of

And that makes 52 points. We will at least equal our best points total in a 38-game PL season, and our best points per game in the PL overall. Our first positive goal differential in the PL is all but guaranteed...win one of the final two games and this will be, in every imaginable category, our best campaign in the Premier League.

    FT 2-0.

Didn't really need to get into top gear.

The dive came before the contact so how does slight contact warrant a penalty...?

Didn't see that result. Would have taken any draw. Well done everyone.

Your argument is sound, therefore I concede to your superior judgement.

I think he was going down before the contact because he pushed the ball beyond his ability to get to it. Anyway, the ref thought similar.

    Edit: Oops, forgot. End of.

So you admit he dived. Lovren's "foul", in that case, happened after Stones' dive and therefore play should be stopped for a Saints free kick before there is any contact.

I'm glad you are recognising the internationally acclaimed "end of" gambit, first instigated by A Chavolopolous in the 1973 World Debate Championship.

2 starts for Big Vic, 2 clean sheets :)

    Not a coincidence.

Whisper it quietly, but he and Corky looked good together today I thought. Davis once again an unsung hero. A really solid display against a really good team plus at last, the rub of the green.

Well done Saints, very professional. Second half BT commentary became increasingly turgid. They even mentioned the beetroot factory:steam:

So, for all the talk of Cork OR Wanyama, it turns out they're quite a good partnership in midfield.

Couldn't watch the second half as heart racing too much. Cleaned two rooms...so not a complete loss. Strange to get one point from Cardiff and Villa and then 3 from Everton...I may watch MOTD for once.
