About time they rearranged the Chelsea match...now it would be funny if it needed to be rearranged again because of the FA Cup.

That could be some combination. If only we still had Theo Walcott, think what damage he could do running onto Gaston's neat little through balls. Maybe Mayuka could do that job for us.

I think we've got a chance against Chelsea. I'd love an FA Cup run, not a walk.

I always get excited before cup games then we put out a second strength team and lose; like we did against Leeds. I think we will rest a fair few players. Rodriguez, Fox, Richardson, Chaplow, De Ridder and Ward-Prowse all bound to start.

Just as a question is Stephens out fourth choice centre back if one of Yoshida or Fonte were injured who would be the back up on the bench assuming Hooiveld would come in.

 

Predicted line up for tomorrow: Gazzaniga, Richardson, Fox, Hooiveld, Fonte, Ward-Prowse, Chaplow, Davis, Mayuka, De Ridder and Rodriguez.

Think Adkins has already indicated that he is taking this seriously. There is a whole week until the next game for recovery. I now expect to see more of the first eleven.

 

Seaborne is on a week-by-week loan at Charlton, so presumably (god forbid) can be recalled. I would prefer Stephens but I think he is more with the U21s than the first team anyway.

Speaking of Seaborne, Charlton fans are not impressed by him whatsoever.

 

I want Saints to take the FA Cup seriously. It's not like the league cup, where all the games except the final are midweek, forcing us to play 3 games in a week. Put out a strong team today and go for it.

More likely he's unwanted and not getting played. Probably going out on loan again. Barney came back on Wednesday...wonder what the future holds for him.

 

I also hope you are wrong, especially with the choice of goalkeeper. I thought 90 mins today would give Boruc more time to bed in ahead of the Villa game.

 

I think Boruc should play, because it would be a game where he could show what he can do without the risk of costing us points.
