I do think he's a bit of a tight bastard, our wage bill is currently only 50% of turnover and we could increase that by about 10% or so and get in/keep some real quality, but I think some people get a bit carried away.
All bollocks Bates was a business man now he thinks he is... He fails to move with the times he lives in the past and his actions and decisions will only harm the club. "Bates the Leeds saviour who will stop us from going into administration" and "Nobody else came forward" are two of the biggest piles of **** I keep seeing get written. We DID go into administration under Bates so he never saved us and a LOT of offers came in and better ones to than the "unknown company" (yes the one Bates pretends he doesn't know who owns them when he was at the helm really).
ristac of course there are strong views for and against Bates and i have writen on both accounts both for and against, if you can find someone to take over sooner rather than later it would possibly be a good thing in the short term, but who ? and would Bates sell now when he knows he is sitting on a gold mine ? i dont think so,, im afraid unless he pops his cloggs your stuck with him...Good or Bad.
