Heh, this isn't really being negative...I think that we've been good enough that we have the luxury of rotating a couple players through and still expect to be good. I think that we're about fifteen-deep in quality, and we can afford to keep them sharp for when they're needed, as they assuredly will be.

We will have plenty of cup games, and seeing as I'm staunchly against playing the first team in the **** cup, that's a good opportunity for the squad players to get match practice.

Follow your example you mean CBK? <laugh>

Regarding the defence, it's a team effort. Replacing one player for any given match isn't going to significantly weaken it, as demonstrated today arguably.

I would like Cork and Yoshida to play more. It's a long season though and I'm sure they'll get chances.

Quote from Poch's post match interview:

"Osvaldo is fine, he took a heavy challenge but taking him off was mainly a tactical change."

Here's a tactical change Poch could have made today, but there might have been hell to pay. What about if he'd started with Clyne at LB, Chambers at RB, with Fox on the bench..?

I think that's a stronger line-up, but it would take a more resolute person than me to actually do it. I mean, what would that do to Fox's confidence..?

What I'm saying is, did Poch actually field his strongest team..?

I see on the BBC website it says In form Saints see off Swansea.

How do they know we're in form. This might be Saints playing so-so from here on in. How can anyone tell..? I know it's Champions League qualification form but so what..? :)

Well, I'm well known for my Fox-bashing but I didn't think he was too bad today. Swansea were a very mobile team and all the defenders were struggling to mark their opponents.

Also, Boruc. I have never felt entirely confident in him, I can't put my finger on why but he has always made me a bit nervous. Not today. Apart from one clearance, everything he did was faultless. For the first time I think I can see what a good all-round keeper he is rather than a quick reaction shot stopper.

Well we have plenty of ammunition if so, i.e. that we are 4th and they are 13th.

I was very anxious about him at the beginning of his Saints career, but after a few games he started to come on leaps and bounds. The other thing was that fans from his previous clubs were saying just wait, he'll come good.

Quite simply, he's the best keeper we've had since Niemi.
