Well, that was a strange sort of game really. We were probably the better team for about ten minutes of it but somehow Swansea didn't manage to score despite all the chances they created. Lallana was good, Boruc was dependable, good substitutions from Pochettino pretty much killed the game and maybe Swansea's midweek efforts caught up with them in the end. 2-0 is really flattering to be honest but hey, sign of a great team is winning without playing well isn't it?
This sums it up, plus they gifted us the second goal. Maybe if it wasn't for his forward passing, which was more often than not to a Swansea player.
I wouldn't say they were outstanding. You'd expect a Premier League keeper to save them, but Boruc did well to keep them out. I don't think we would have won with Davis/Gazzaniga in goal.
Good game and a good result. Shame I had a few dick heads round me slagging Wanyama off. Fox was okish second half after a poor first half. Why was Wanyama's goal disallowed?
Saints winning again, another clean sheet, more goals from open play, spot on sub's from poch and Adam and Jay on score sheet finally. Can't get much better... Unless spurs lose so we stay 4th going into international break
Entertaining first half, the second not so much. A 2-0 win flatters us slightly but we've been on the other end of that equation often enough that it doesn't bother me.
I think the ref was compensating for the fact that it shouldn't have been a corner in the first place.
I wonder how long it'll be before we don't have to specify that Wanyama wasn't bad. Bar a few obviously blind people on here, clearly it should be accepted that excellent performances are his default.
Fox was targeted by Swansea because they knew he was our weak link, yeah he's not the greatest defender but when he was being doubled up on there's not a great deal he could do as I don't think Davis offered him enough protection. I noticed once JWP was brought on Swansea hardly looked threatening at all down our left hand side and Fox played well, aside from a few dodgy passes.
