Good point for the Swans. After playing Man city, chelsea and Liverpool last week we looked tired . Several players just strolled - and that is just not good enough if you want to win at Soton.

Soon didn't take their chances which is criminal in the Prem, so can't complain too much with a draw.
Just got back on the M4. Good luck for rest of season.

Would agree with all of this. I think Swansea were vulnerable especially in the second half and we were in positions to cut them open and take the game away from them, and it was really Ramirez we needed to do this (much like against Villa, where we came into the game, had huge momentum and Villa were starting to crumble, at which point Gaston took them to pieces and orchestrated a great win) but his final pass was really lacking and there were several moments where the ball was at his feet around the edge of the box or just inside it, with us looking set to slice them open and grab a goal, and it just seemed like his head wasn't in the game and it would end up with some scrappy mess and then the ball getting cleared. There are some things I can forgive for lack of match fitness, but you'd expect a player of his quality to come into the game with his head right and be able to do all the simple things right, and he didn't do that. His corners were also woeful, we seemed to have some kind of plan to swing it miles far post for Lambert to knock back in which I don't agree with at all, but even then the deliveries were poor.

Well he had the time to take a touch and try and take it down, so he had the time to swing a leg at it and clear it in any direction. I think Gazza is the guilty party, but Maya definitely deserves his share of the blame too for me. I think it's just another case though of our defenders being so low in confidence and then just buckling and making poor decisions, if we'd been coming off of a few wins and clean sheets, it would have just been a simple matter of Maya calmly hoofing it into touch, scary moment over and back to the game, but right now every simple thing that these players could do week in week out is becoming moments of great stress and pressure.

Paul Scholes gave the ball away for the second goal. This stuff just makes me mad. It's 2-1 now, they'd better turn it around.

Just back from the match...perils of living on the Island. Disappointment of not winning doesn't compare to what I'd feel if we lost again. Most other results gone in our favour or at least not worse. We looked dangerous but have to start scoring again. Let down by one mistake, but we probably prevented a couple of goals as well. You can see I'm in a glass half full mood. We could have beaten a midtable club...they didn't look better than us and I think we looked more exciting going forward.

Ramirez showing some promise and a couple of times showed quick thinking. He (and others) were getting caught with the ball. Clyne and Shaw had good gamesand our rapid passing was back on several occasions. All in all, disappointed not to win, but hopeful we can move on from here. Haven't read what anyone else has written yet, so it will be interesting to see now.

By the way I see the argument about the goal. Both are equally to blame for me. Complete calamity

both equally to blame. You have to wonder where either fonte, shaw or clyne were because yoshida was caught with no one to pass to. should have just cleaeered. if we defend like that we will not win simpe as. if we continue to defend this badly then we will be relegated - no question.

was thinking, if the saints team from this time last year played the saints team now who would win? I reckon last years....

You are right. No one got a good enough shift on to get back and cover. I agree with the bottom line sadly

Overwhelmingly positive performance today despite the draw. Moment of madness for their goal, but otherwise Swansea didn't really look like scoring and that is credit to our defensive efforts.

How do Man Utd keep doing this? I can't imagine how good they could be if they didn't start every game so poorly.

This is the story of the season though isn't it? We have outplayed most teams frankly, and come away with virtually nothing to show from it. Hard to really continue to put a positive spin on that. A clean sheet though? Now we're talking.
