Well that was there for the taking. Not impressed with Marriner, bit worried that Lallana's reputation is starting to precede him. Awful pass by Gazzaniga has cost us big time, but we should have made more of our chances, and we probably should have had a penalty. Unlucky overall but we have to do better.
I know Kelvin Davis has had a couple of dodgy moments with shot-stopping this season, but he would never have done that.
Could have perhaps had two penalties as well, shame, 2 points dropped definitely. Cut out that one slip up we deserved to win, the premier league is brutal though, on to next week!
That's very harsh, I thought he had an excellent game. Couldn't really do anything with that pass from Gazzaniga.
he was immense that interception from a low cross in the second half was the best piece of defending from a saints player this season.
I wish I could agree... Yeh we got some terrible decisions, but with the chances we had in the second half we should have put it too bed and even making one bad mistake in the prem will cost you as shown. We played well but thats the difference between a comfortable mid table finish and relegation, its soo fustrating as we clearly have the attacking players to win games like this, but if you aren't clinical it will cost you.
I think we were too quick to drop him. Our keepers have the lowest save to shot ratio in the division.Davis may not be a great passer but then he wouldn't take such risks; pity really as we played well. Hopefully keep our momentum going and get something at Loftus road.
It's a shame that Lallana does seem to dive a bit, I think the first one was a dive, but the yellow card was harsh; if you fall over and someone gives you contact and you go down, the rest of your team appeal but you don't, should you get a yellow card? I can't help but feel he was already falling over under his own momentum, and didn't appeal so I'm not sure you can call that a dive
Yes we should have won, but still a good result against a good team. We played far better today then we have done recently, Shaw played well as well.
he did it right before the penalty against man city. You would gave seen him do it a few times more if you bothered to watch the games.
Don't really agree there. Obviously Gazza was at fault for putting Yoshida under pressure with that awful pass, but Yoshida should have recognised the pressure and booted it out instead of trying to control it.
Also, small + in that the teams around us didn't do well either. Reading and Norwich drew, Sunderland lost and Aston Villa are unlikely to pick up anything later. QPR lost without much fight, which is good for next week.
Someone explain to me how that is a good result?, we dominated for the majority, and gave Swansea a goal....we have just thrown away what should have been a comfortbale 3 points, not for the first time this season.
