Well anyway there is always a silver lining, our neggies on here always love to pick on an individual, but to have three in one game they have been able to fill their boots, if we get a decent result at Cardiff perhaps they might give us a rest? Otherwise we will get another bucketful of stating the obvious to contend with.

I think you've missed the point of a forum old chap. It's to discuss football. Positives and negatives.

Sorry, I always thought it was a Saints Forum for us to show our support for the Club, when we wanted to, and to criticise when we think things weren't right, but not to create a lynch mob and a hate complex everytime that you take a dislike to any particular individual? All too often a player has been slagged, only to prove the detractors wrong, if you want to criticise a player, that's fair enough, but never think that it is supporting the Club in any way and you certainly won't have much influence on the outcome.

I was at the game and felt that half the stadium had already made their minds up that Ramirez was going to be useless before he'd even touched the ball. When he lost it on his first touch you could hear the stadium groan. In my opinion he had a good game overall, was always willing to be on the ball and created chances and space.

Not sure whether you are being entirely serious with this post but to 'blame' the club for raising expectations did make me smile. Had they not, we would probably still be targeting a play off place from league one.

I hate baseball but one lesson that the sport teaches players and fans of all ages is that you cannot play 160 games in a season and expect to win them all. So you learn to take defeats and poor form on the chin knowing that you have time to put it right. Raising expectations and positive thinking plays a very important part in this strategy. The. Same applies to us - remembering we are in the top half of the table with half the season still to go!

Ok we were a shadow of ourselves on Sunday but before we burn Jos and Danny at the stake let's not forget they are a big part of the amazing revival these last couple of years. Actually Danny did not have a bad game and Jos had some good moments. The problems are two fold. Firstly our progress has been so dramatic they are being left behind (made worse by not playing regularly) and secondly, despite them being good players they regularly make mistakes and that can't be accommodated at this level.

Similarly, Gazza does not in my view warrant the tongue lashing he gets here or in the stadium. He is our third choice keeper and possibly one for the future. He does not come off his line because that is what he is told to do by the coaching staff. In reality he made couple of good saves Sunday and was unlucky not to stop the first goal as he changed direction.

We can easily accommodate a Fox, Hooiveld or Gazza when injuries bite. Just not all three at the same time.

Too early to say obviously but his last couple cameo appearances looked quite promising. Were he an academy product instead of a £12m signing we would be drooling. I think he was bought for his future potential and the price tag being very unlike saints simply raised expectations unreasonably. Look on the bright side. spurs signed Lamela for £30m and he has not done anything yet.

The wheels have come off the bus the same as us this season as teams dont take us lightly anymore. I know why we have lost our way as its the type of football we are playing under laudrup, Its not a patch on how we played under Rodger's. I cant see where you have lost your way as i have seen the saints play a lot better....what do you think is your problem is at the moment.. merry xmas.

Because we lack depth and half the team -- including in recent times three of our starting defenders, our starting keeper and both of our starting central mids -- has been injured.

Inexperienced 2nd choice GK second choice LB, second choice RB, only 1 first choice CB, one or both CDM injured. No problem scoring but lovren aside our back 5 wouldn't even cope in the NPC.

Going up to visit your chums ttomorrow, hopefully turn them over for you. Merry christmas.
