rabbitspectrum is a classic example of one of the reasons I no longer post here. I swear, if we were top of the table on 18 points with a +30 gd, people like him would still be moaning.
Goalkeeper had no saves to make ,have conceded only 2 goals and have second highest possession percentage in league ,this cannot be achieved by just the back 4 so midfield must be doing something right ,to criticize an individual based on a couple of stray passes is not only ridiculous but naive regarding football knowledge ,I despair at the stupid lack of intelligent comments put on here at times ,where we're we 3 years ago ? Where are we now ,get real some of you ,I've watched saints for 50 years and this team is as promising as any we have produced ,time will tell how good but some people who post on here are just ????? Can't even think of a word to describe the stupidity
I see quite a few people have made this observation. For me the joy of football is watching your team play well, I don't think we have been playing to our ability this season which is that of a top 6 team. I come on here to discuss football, and it so happens the negative aspects are more worthwhile discussing. Perhaps you derive enjoyment from purely focusing on the positives which is fine, I don't derive any pleasure from the negatives but I want my team to play better than it has been doing so. If you are at all aggravated by my negativity or any comments that are made on the internet I can't help you. I would also point out that it is plainly positive if we have in fact being under performing.
Didn't manage to see this one as I was at a wedding but by the sounds of it Wanyama played much better yesterday. I was trying to make a case for Cork coming back into the team but if Wanyama picks up then there's certainly strong competition.
He didn't really play that well, at least not in the second half when he was trying to be a bit more creative. OK in the first half when he was just breaking stuff up. I still believe that he gets in Schneiderlin's way a bit.
So you say you prefer to talk about the negatives yet you get no pleasure from doing so? Why not mix it up and have both negative and positive posts? Then people may not always accept your view but understand it is your opinion. To be so negative just makes you seem to be a wum(we have had plenty on here) that wants to get attention anyway possible.
Wanyama has helped in making our defence so much better, he breaks up a hell of a lot. Both Liverpool and Palace fans have said how good are defensive pairing is so he must be doing something right? Yes his passing needs to improve, but it has every week.
I actually thought that his best game to date was his first at West Brom. Anyway, like him or not he will be playing for most of the season I would imagine.
I'm not entirely sure why I discuss negative things on the interent, it isn't really that interesting but following saints is obsessive and I need some outlet for the obsession. Discussing positives while gratifying holds even less interest for me and I prefer the indepth discussions that I have had with the occasional likeminded reader. ANd tbf I would have to be one of the most optimistic posters in terms of predicting saints results, progress etc. As I said the issue is with reader if they are at all annoyed by something they read on the internet it is their problem.
Hate to say but I agree to a degree with Rabbit. I am overjoyed at the results, the performances team wise but Wanyama 'winning the ball back' is nearly always when he himself lost it in the first place. Maybe he is just getting up to speed but we have been a bit lucky to only have conceded 2 goals and therefore be in 4th place. We could ignore it and happy clap because we are 4th but we will get found out sooner or later. I am happy to clap though at the minute. Feels good to be doing well.
As DTLW said yesterday: Wanyama had 82% pass completion. And as Dan said the other day: he's got the 4th highest in the squad this season. Some people are talking out of their arses.
On a positive note, Phil Thomson [seems a bit harsh to call him Pinochio after what he says here ] gives a pretty good appraisal of yesterday's game. Must say, I also noticed the same about the defensive wall for Lambert's free-kick, but that's by-the-by. Note his comments about Boruc/Champions League and Paul Merson's reaction. Merson is completely misunderstanding Thomson's meaning, as he usually seems to get the wrong end of the stick - especially about Saints: http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/8947221/thompson-routine-win-for-saints If you've got anti-tracker or ad-blocker software on, it's probably best to just turn them off for this video, and recycle the page after you've done it, otherwise you may not be able to view it. Remember to turn them back on..!
Fair enough when you criticise the whole team, but to pick on one player and post several posts on the same subject is obsessive and very annoying and seems to give the impression that you have other issues with this one individual. You have noticed a few have been disagreeing with you, doesn't that give you a clue that you may actually be a bit misguided?
I think they were trying to make me miss it, like they did Sunderland and West Ham, well I did miss Sunderland, but bad weather meant I was able to see West Ham and as I am not doing anything else next Sunday I will be there despite their efforts.
I see Dani and his partner have announced that they are expecting a child together. Been a good couple of days for Dani.
Everyone hates a know-it-all, but just to prove I was right anyway: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/3314631.stm http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/...ate=1072137599999&tableView=CURRENT_STANDINGS It was in the season after the cup final, December 2003, that we were last in the top 4.
