Just off up the wooden hill but went back to Footballorgin to see whether they'd posted up the second half. They have. It's from Setanta, but the picture quality is very good. So, the whole game is there now. No highlights, extended or otherwise. No concentrating on Newcastle's failures. Just all the action, nothing missing and nothing else. Night.
This gentleman is disappointed by the result and believes there is room for some improvement from his team and manager.
Don't blame yourself Tom, you don't mean that. It was just where you were sat. That man in front of you affected you.
It is, but you do feel for em. Losing is part of the game but when no-one involved on the day seems to give a **** thats gotta sting
I agree, I felt for most of their fans. However, one if my bet mates is a Toon fan and he is going to get absolute dogs abuse. Again!!
Are we up and about, to watch the highlights again on the Sunday morning repeat of MoTD, or still buzzing from yesterday? I have to say that not only was it a brilliant match and result, but I've never got home back up the M3/A30 so quickly. Marcus is being Obi Wan Kenobi to Ronald 'Luke Skywalker' Koeman (and the Highways Authority). Does this make Ralph Krueger Yoda? Cue long thread about Saints characters being Star Wars characters... (Katharina - Princess Leia, or is that a step too far?)
Pelle = Chewbacca Tadic is the maverick Hans Solo Fat Sam is Darth Vader and his team are Storm Troopers from the Dark Side. Sammy Lee is R2D2 Edit: guest appearance by Mike Williamson as C3PO (well he moves like him)
I just counted up the passes and got 39... but I might have done one of them twice. That's the kind of team goal that would get weeks of coverage if Arsenal scored it.
Watched again (of course) and, whilst we were good, Newcastle were truly awful. Long could have scored from virtually kick off (though it would have been handball and so obvious he would have had to admit it) and they were too busy appealing for Pelle's second as they couldn't be arsed to defend. Kamikaze defending for Cork's goal and they had lost the will to live for Morgan's. The players individually aren't that awful, so there is something sick at the club. It may be the players fault, but the players are fixed until January...the only option is a managerial change. Saints are the diametric opposite to Newcastle with confidence in themselves, their team mates and the manager. Good times.
If you have the time, here is my match report. http://www.thematch.co.uk/thematch-report-southampton-4-0-newcastle-saints-crush-magpies/
BBC match stats are odd. Geordies had more possession and 9 shots. Didnt look like that on the extended highlights.
