Racing Post is predicting a goal fest.

They also say " it will be interesting to see if Southampton can maintain their early season intensity as the term closes down."

And it's Spanish, so the G should be pronounced like an H.

Spanish. But pronunciation is quite idiosyncratic.

Yeah seems you're right actually. G followed by A is pronounced as we would pronounce it by all spanish speakers. I was thrown by the stadium announcer at the Olympics who really hammed up the Spanish names. No idea where they were from.

So Rickie on cover, Gaston interview...hope the curse of the programme doesn't kick in. So often the players they feature don't even play :(

I see by Gaston's car that he is a shy, retiring type who doesn't want to be noticed :)

I'll ask Luis how they pronounce it in Uruguay if you want. But he's a little joker on the quiet and he may give me the dialect version of "Oh that carthorse"<laugh>

We'll have to pay attention to Mauricio's postmatch interview when he talks about Gaston's hattrick :) However, that assumes Spanish is the same in Argentina and Uruguay. And there is the added complication that I read somewhere that Mauricio's time in Spain has softened his accent.

Using our own special version of Godwin's Law, and ensuring every thread has a Cork vs Wanyama argument, I'd like to see big Vic start today to put the frighteners on Gerrard and Henderson......
