I think that, as both of MY and PG were new to the PL, they weren't really aware of how quick Dyer is! Gazza's fault for that goal and Wanyama's for this one, he didn't have to try and take three Hull players on.
I like Hull fans. Don't care what that sunderland bloke says. Disappointed we conceded a sloppy goal but glad they made a game of it in the 2nd half. I imagine the 1st half was uncomfortable watching for them.
Possibly, can't really remember. I agree we're playing the right guy, but still think Cork is better with the ball, something that might come in handy in certain scenarios.
A couple of thoughts about Victor today, he made a few errors before the big one and should have been aware of what was happening around him, but he was put into the situation by a bit of negative play at the back. In fact the goal kept the game alive, as it was in danger of fading away, as we weren't stepping the pace up. Victor also appeared to have a bit of a strop when subbed and may get a slap for his somewhat imature behaviour. However we have a short break when they can get this sorted ready for some big matches where he is going to be needed in his brick outhouse role.
You mean this one? http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/128745-That-my-friends-is-how-to-win-away?highlight=Trixter
Very clinical performance today in front of goal. We've had several games this season where we've created more chances and only scored 1 or 2 goals. Wanyama looked like he didn't care today. He couldn't be bothered since it was only little Hull City. Just as well the rest of the side were up for it and very good. Maybe it isn't a bad thing and will be a wake up call for Wanyama getting subbed off for playing badly. He might be really up for the Arsenal game and never make the same mistake again of being complacent.
Good win today lads, you were more than a step above us. Just wanna say hope you carry on this form all season as it can only benefit England. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Oddly enough the official stats say Victor had a better pass completion in the match than Lalla 84% - 81%, it was just that one of his misplaced efforts was expensive. He got away with a couple of others. Listening to Solent while watching the game and there was one occasion when JWP was robbed of possession, Solent said it took him 5 seconds to get it back! That is commitment.
Big vic tweeted that he had bad problems from the start of the game.thanks team mates for taking him out of the mistakes. Can someone translate lol
Time to get behind Victor...he didn't kill anyone. Only young and will learn. Remember other players make mistakes and get away with it.
Ah back problems. I like victor.big player in every way.even when he is not playing well his mere presence is a positive for our midfield/defence
I had you guys down to finish 7th before the season started, i'd certainly be surprised if you don't finish top 7, i'm sure you'll have some sort of blip, but you have that quality and your manager seems to be a bit of a genius! Southampton is just one of those clubs you can't dislike! Enjoy the win, we can moan about losing but like brucey says, we were just beaten by the much better team! Keep taking points from the bottom teams will help us too i was watching some of the vids posted on here of the trip to spain, seems to be a great spirit in the camp! Seems to be ran brilliantly
Big Vic was generally brilliant. Its one silly mistake and cost us nothing. We had a shakey 10mins but coolly and calmly dispatched of PL opponents. Lets bask in it.
Looks like the Hull fans have taken a leaf out of big Steve Bruce's book by being jolly good sports!......Good luck for the season lads and lasses, your team reminds me a lot of what we were like last season after our dodgy start and I think that you will finish mid-table.
