You are absolutely right....and that was at their place when they could put out a full side. Coventry are going to be dismantled - and I expect lots of worried old men to acknowledge how silly they have been this week in the days following tomorrow's triumph. Coventry haven't got a prayer.
I am usually one of the pessimists on this forum; but I am confident about tomorrow. The weather may have a part to play in this; bit of a leveller – but we do have too much class and a full stadium behind them. I do not see it as a free scoring game however; I see CC on a damage limitation exercise and ‘parking the bus’. I can see the final score being either 2-0 or 2-1 (as we have problems keeping a clean-sheet of late).

At the start of the season I decided I would take my 4 year old boy to his first game in the spring, once it had warmed up a bit. Original plan was to go to Reading but they moved that to a Friday evening, and certainly didn't facny taking him to Pompey and the only other game we could make at home was Coventry so this will be his first game! I thought it would be sewn up by now but I must admit a tiny little part of me is glad that we have the chance to seal it tomorrow. I am really hoping it's not too tense! Couple of goals in the first half will do nicely thank-you. I think the fact a draw would probably be enough will help the players settle - we don't need to panic if we haven't scored and when we go one up we won't feel under so much pressure. I'm sure we can do it we just all need to be positive and get behind the team ... Either 4-0 or 3-0 I think.
That's exactly what will happen with some fans if West Ham actually take their chances like they did against Brighton and its still 0-0 at SMS.
Support the team for 90 minutes people. Anybody groaning, tell them to cheer instead of jeer. Any tension getting to the players if we're not up early on will not make matters better. Adam Lallana: "The game will not be won in the first 20/25 minutes". Enjoy every second of it too. Don't forget that outside of the context of the game, it's the last of the season (if we go up). COME. ON. YOU. REDS!
Stayed away from this match thread. Too nervous. But here we go: Kelvin Frazer Fonte Hoover Fox Steeeve Hammond Schneiderlin Lallana Sharp Lambert Bench: Bart, Cork, Guly, Harding, Falque (we need attacking options) Score: 4-1. Sharp sliding home a Richardson cross, Lambert pen, Steeeve cuts in his shot trickles past the keeper. Nervy times when they head home a corner. Hammond caps off an amazing season with a 25 yard piledriver. Not a bad day, eh?
