Neither the lines man nor the ref new the rules of the game it would seem! Nearly every time a throw in was taken both of the throwers feet were clearly all on the field of play. Down our end at one point he threw the ball into our box and his feet were nigh on 18 inches from his heel to the bye line! In truth the ref did not have a lot to do, what he did have to do he got around 40% wrong in my opinion. (Both ways to be fair) Luckily neither side suffered significantly through the wrong decisions.Credit to Coventry they came to play football and not to kick us off the park.
Out all day saturday and missed the match! Finally got back about 10.30 saturday night and watched the whole match and the coverage. Felt for Cov especially as they appeared to have the better changes in the first 15 minutes, but after the first goal we were well in control. Dean Hammond - more of a legend after dropping the F word on camera as is Chaplow for dancing round like a loon. Onwards and upwards, brilliant to be back in the premier league well done Nige and the boys!!
and I have figured out that I may be the TV curse. I have only missed 2 of our televised games this season, Saturday's game and the away game at Leeds. Coincidence?
come on, the ref was god damn awful. it's one thing letting the game flow (mostly in Cov's favour I might add) but another allowing the tackle on Sharp to go unpunished. On another day he would have gone off injured but no player wanted to go off on Saturday!
