Have training the same time as this so sadly not gonna see it...MOTD doing a highlights show tue or wed?
Eh? We won our last seven games and have only conceded two goals in that run. That's looks pretty 'solid' to me.
If you find conceding two goals in seven games acceptable it's little wonder you've not won the title in so long.
Due a slip up though! I still think Arsenal will win the league even with Walcott's injury. As good as City are, they have tougher fixtures and their away form at the start of the season may have cost them.
I hope Arsenal win the title, but the main competitors are stepping up now. I feel one or two slips could decide the title. Not saying we will win, but I would rather play the Gunners than City at the moment.
I think Lovren is a big miss for you guys, has easily been one of the best CB's in the league this season, and we have been lucky enough to not come up against him this season. When you played Spurs, your defence looked a shambles without him, but Shaw was also missing then. For us, I guess it's games like this when we start to feel the loss of Walcott because we can't defend deep and counter quickly without his pace. It's going to be a tight game, and I see holding out for an ugly one nil win.
I pointed that out earlier. Best defense at the moment in stats? Not sure. Anyway, we don't like things like facts to get in the at of a good debate on here.
And we were missing Boruc. A combination of Gazzaniga, Fox and Hooiveld is always a recipe for disaster. Fortunately none of those, maybe one will be playing. But we'll have Wanyama back on Tuesday, who is built like a tank and is a bloody good defensive midfielder.
I agree though...if any doubt, after such a long absence, I would rather he came in for the Fulham game.
I'd really rather not face Arsenal without both Lovren and Victor. I'm expecting an entertaining game though. Yes, there's a reason Arsenal are still top at the end of January, but we're at home, and we should be able to beat anyone at home, given a little bit of luck.
Gnabry has really impressed me every time i've seen him play. I think he is going to be a superstar. On this game if Wanyama is fit enough to start then I would like to see us try Cork, Wanyama & Schneiderlin with Morgan playing further forward. I think he is our best tackler and if we can try to stop Arsenal at source and not let them settle on the ball we can hassle them into mistakes up the pitch. Love a night match against one of the big teams, will be a good atmosphere and i'm confident of a high quality entertaining game.
Corrected that for you Archers! Well we managed to have more possession than Arsenal at the Etihad...we just need to do something with it. It'll be one heck of a tough game, and most fans I suspect would take a point if it was offered now. But yes, we can win it, should the stars align. I don't expect anything but an Arsenal victory though.
Composed finishing? Perfectly possible if Jay doesn't have time to think about it. And if Rickie does. But yeah, chances will have to be taken at one end, and I suspect Boruc will have to be on top form at the other.
