Or thinking more long-term, to drag others into it along with a win for us at Villa Park, it might be better if Fulham and West Ham only picked up a point. Happy for QPR not to pick up any though.
I see the club has tweeted a photo of Lallana in training, bit of a change of policy there? Don't expect him to play against Villa but he can't be far off.
Some great pics on saints facebook, i like the one of gaston and jay for some reason. Oh and the boruc one!
I don't do facebook because I have a life and don't spend all my time on the internet....mmm, wait a minute
Why are people talking about Bent's injury like it makes an iota of difference? He's not going to play anyway because if he makes one more league appearance Villa owe Sunderland £5m or something.
It's good that he can't come off the bench though. One of the few players guaranteed to get 15+ goals a season!
He can't come off the bench anyway, even a substitute appearance would count towards the quota. If it's true that he is one game away from activating that clause, he won't play another minute of league football for Villa.
Regardless of how many points we think we may or may not need if we lose on saturday which i don't think we will it will be very difficult to stay up i also believe it will have an impact on the type of player we will attract transfer wise this month.
I would hope that any player we were hoping to sign is too far down the line to be thrown by one result. If we have to make an emergency signing because we don't get our targets, then I would suggest they are players eager to get a club. Interestingly, the BBC site haven't called this a six pointer, but a 'signpost' match. Too early for one loss/win to decide a season, but it may be an indication of the future.
