You said it "looks quite basic", not "good". I still think that's a fantastic save all things considered. Not routine, or basic.
It was a good save, however, aren't you surprised how everyone is saying how sensational he was?. His goalkeeping was nothing more than i'd expect from a Premier league goalkeeper. As i mentioned on SWF, i think people are jumping the gun because of the poor goalkeeping we have seen so far this season.
No. I think his goalkeeping was great, and very assured and commanding. I am very happy to have him in goal playing like that. It's natural for us to draw comparisons to PG and KD's performances this season, and even still I think Artur is easily good enough.
IM agreeing with you, he is absolutely the best Goalkeeper we have. IM just saying that games like that are what you should expect from an aspiring premier league keeper. Probaly not as outstanding a performance itsbeing made out to be, thats all.
Yeah, I don't think Boruc was quite as sensational as some people are making out. He had a solid game, but he wasn't really given many difficult saves to make.
I think you're right too. We're not used to a keeper coming for, and claiming the vast majority of balls. He was very dominant and had a good game. It is indeed what we should see at PL level.
Thats the point i was trying to make, i think people were so used to seeing Davis and Gazzaniga piss it up, that a standard goalkeeping performance looks 10x better than it is. Taking nothing away from a well earned clean sheet from Boruc though.
On another note i found his half time ritual of praying and then repeatadly hitting himself in the face quite humurous.
Hi Brendy IMO Reading will beat Newcastle in the manner that they beat us last April. Newcastle are painfully short on confidence at the moment and have some injury issues. With Colloccini (spelling) unsettled they have joined the relegation dogfight.
Something else i forgot to mention, I'm quite liking the 4-4-2 away from home even if it means Ramirez being utterly useless on the left.
Sky still referring to the JRod tackle for the Penalty, perhaps someone should enlighten them. Anyhow once you get a penalty it still takes a good player to score it, ask Hull!
Have to have a bit of sympathy for Trixter tonight, his team failed to turn up and let him down badly.
On MOTD, they called it a dive...no mention of the ref saying it was for the initial foul on Puncheon. I agree....terrible foul on Ramirez...could have smashed his leg.
