Christ you know how nervy a game is when Rickie puts the ball down on the spot, takes a few steps back and I'm sat here thinking 'Christ christ christ please don't miss'... Why did I ever doubt you for a single moment Rickie?! Looked a very dodgy penalty, don't know if Jay dived or just it was just him slipping after reaching the ball, certainly didn't look natural but he didn't appeal either... Either way, just happy to see us getting penalties.
In fairness I initially thought it for Guzan on Puncheon. Which also was not a penalty. But anyway, rewrite the history books, Southampton got an undeserved Premier League penalty.
Don't think it was a dive, it looked like he just got his feet wrong trying to play it to Gaston. Would have been a silly time to dive, really; Gaston had an empty net, and that had more chance of a yellow than a pen.
These things happen against us, so I don't care. I would rather it was a clear pen, but will I care if the result of this match keep us up...no, I won't.
