Without Ricky we'd be Dagenham and Redbridge. Now who said that If we gain promotion, the whole team should win 'player of the year'.
I don't think I've ever been so happy with the 'team' as oppose to individuals. Sometimes its nice to have a favourite, but our side is making it very hard at the moment to feel that way. Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate all their talents, but its simply that they are all doing their jobs so well with that added confidence
I would say the player of the season will be either :- Lambert Cork Lallana Gully Chaplow All these players need to excel into xmas and beyond! If they all keep playing like this together your right. They should all be voted team of the year!! hehe
Unfortunately, I can only base my opinion on televised matches and the odd live stream that worked but in each of those games, the same three have been immense - Lambert, Guly and Chaplow. All three have been properly awesome.
I just think the whole squad should be player of the season. If I really had to choose then Rickie is the obvious choice for his goals, but look at where those goals have come from, a lot of fantastic crosses from both wings, from Danny Fox, Frazer Richardson, Danny Butterfield (and to a lesser extent Dan Harding), and tireless work from the likes of Lallana, Chaplow, Cork, Hammond, and Schneiderlin. And Guly is relishing playing up top these days, and the defence is really starting to gel together now, for which Fonte and Hooiveld are largely responsible. And then there's SKD!
so shall we not have a player of ther season, just give them all a big bonus and a party with the fans?
Rickie is my choice so far, but he has of course just scored a hat trick. I'm sure if Lallana had just bagged a treble then he would be higher in everyones estimations and that's the beauty of the team so far this season that everyone is contributing towards the teams success and long may it continue. last season was similar but Fonte ended up winning quite convincingly in the end because he was a virtual ever present, scored some vital goals and put in good performances throughout. Lallana had suffered from Injury set-backs and as we all later found out Lambert played with an injury at the start of the season which effected his performances & he struggled to live with the expectations created by his 1st season. Awards so far... Most Improved 1) Richard Chaplow - Started the season 4th choice centre midfielder and is now 1st choice right midfielder. His desire should be an inspiration to any young pro. 2) Dean Hammond 3) Guly Best new arrival 1) Jack Cork - Slotted into the side from game one without fuss and is the reason we have gone from top league one side to top Championship side. tenacious in the tackle, great close control and solid passer of the football. I'm too young for Stevie Williams, but is this guy as good? 2) Jos Hooiveld 3) Danny Fox
1) bialkowski - he has been at the club for so long and only made a handful of appearances so deserves something
Must put my foot down, if the team carries on playing the way they are doing- we should only have a team of the season, everyone included with big hugs and kisses
