At 2-1 Puncheon had a chance saved at the near post and Lambert a cross for Lallana that Ferdinand cleared. Have a feeling that if one of those went in we would be talking about something else.

<ok> I agree that all the doom and gloom on here is overdone. I'm still of the opinion that you will be OK if Cortese holds his nerve and let's Adkins sort it out.

You put the word quote in square brackets at the beginning and then /quote in square brackets at the end :)

As for your reply, you have things the wrong way round. Scholes didn't take advantage AFTER the subs were made. He made an immediate impact for them and pushed us right back. Adkins was taking the tired legs off trying to push us out again. Whether he should be taking off tired legs or not is an opinion that we will differ on but Man U were begining to dominate us.

The Fellaini and Mulumbu thing is very similar. People raving about Davis early on in the season but Fellaini was too much for Davis and Schneidelin together. Same with Mulumbu. We can't play those 2 together. Schneiderlin is a tidy player but gets booked when having to rough it. Davis is not a deep defensive midfielder. I would prefer Cork and Schneiderlin as they can both pass and Cork can get stuck in more. Would that change make any difference? Well if single midfielders of opoositng teams are dominating 2 of our midfielders then we have a real problem and have to take a lot of the blame away from our defence.

Yes our defence is poor however they are like rabbits in the headlights at the moment with opposing teams just walking through the centre of our midfield.

I think that we know how to play well, but we just don't know how to win. Is a big difference there, and one that top flight teams need to learn quickly.
