Unbelievable. Our mid-field collapsed once he came on. No Britton hassling everyone and laying off simple balls. Don't think I heard Orlandi's name.

Hopefully last game he's played for us. Jazz would have been a better option. At least he gives it everything.

Its just as i said a few days ago in another thread that Brendan is so predictable with his subs and what time he brings them on, there was no need to bring anyone on with us being 2-0 up and certain for our first away win, we should have played the game out. Brendan is a good manager except or his needless subs that he keeps on bringing on. if we are drawing or loosing he brings on two forwards ....its one part of his management that he is bad at....2 points needlessly dropped that is Brendan's fault...

MOTM Sinclair?? What a joke, who makes these decisions, as far as I'm concerned Joe Allen was streets ahead of Sinclair for this one, and what does Dyer have to do, to have a full 90 minute game?? and it's about time someone told Rodgers, that the game IS NOT OVER until the proverbial FAT LADY SINGS, and especially where Swansea are concerned, so please Rodgers leave our best players on the field, and if you feel the need to tinker, how about taking Sinclair off for once! Bloody managers get on my pip on times, he's cost me £50 when the second went in, had us down for 2-1 win..................

Sounded like we were not fit enough, that is not acceptable for professional players let alone prem league players!

Lol. What a load of mumbo jumbo.

Easy to blame the manager lads, isn't it? From where I'm sitting, none of us are managing football clubs. Maybe some of you should apply for the Swans job and get BR sacked if you could do a better job?

Brendan is trying to do a job with the players he has at his disposal. He players the best XI we have, but when a player (Dyer) runs, and runs, and runs, one does get tired and that's where injuries occur (44th minute). Do we let them carry on, or do we take them off, give them a break and give the others a run out.

Rooney, Aguero, Lampard, Van Persie........They all get substituted when they are 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go. If a team fights back to 2-2, well done to them.

We seem to forget we have the same players as last season, bar a few (Championship players though) and we are playing a division higher. A division classed as the fastest in the world. Our guys are bound to tire.

It isn't BR's fault that our guys fall asleep thinking the game is won. He brought on another defender to protect a lead, and even that didn't work. Our defense is the issue here, not the manager.

    Is it BR's fault that we conceded 4 V Man City, 4 V Chelsea, 3 V Norwich?

It's not. It's the players on the pitch.

    End of.

It's the old story of managers screw up games & players win them . Got no probs with Britton going off a bit early as he's just coming back but soon as he came off , Gower should have gone the distance IMO . The new defender should have come on for Monk . Was nice to see Routledge come on for a tired Dyer on the wing , where he belongs frankly . Dyer was superb today , what a gem Roberto unearthed

JackAsh: You have a point but I think the blame lies with both the Manager for piss poor substitutions and the players who fell asleep in the last ten minutes. The Manager rightly takes the plaudits when we do well so he should get the brickbats when we don't.

Yes, the first point away was nice but we all know it should have been three. Even McCarthy acknowledges they were lucky. Yet another gift wrapped present from our god awful defence away from home. Utterly shocking. Christ, we need Caulker back!

with 6 minutes to go brendan tears apart our midfield that was doing a superb job and wolves were laughing all they way through our midfield after that and scored 2 goals that could have been more .....Is it Brendans fault........too bloody right it was, there was no sense or reason to disrupt the side that was odds on for their first away win. Brendan is too predictable and needs to sort himself out with these unnecessary decisions, he let the players and the fans down and cost us 2 points.....Its know wonder he says it feels like a loss......well brendan get your managing skills up to date.....

Completely agree with Dai and dpj. Unless he does a straight swap (dyer for routledge), Brendans subs are predictable and disruptive. Leon going off for orlandi may have been forced because of leons fitness, but going to 3 centre backs was suicidal. The second wolves goal where we had 4 or 5 players sucked in to a tackle out near the touchline, wouldn't have happened if we weren't playing with 5 defenders. We know our normal system well enough for that not to happen. So, with the midfield already looking a bit loose, why change it again, for a formation that in the past has looked shaky at best.
We have relied on playing as a cohesive unit in both attack and defence to achieve what we have so far, and a change in formation makes that really difficult to maintain. Maybe if we played that system for a whole game we might get used to it, but to change for the last ten minutes of a game, when we aren't used to it, is asking a lot of of our players. If we had kept the same formation and just done straight swap subs, we would have won that game.

So lets keep the same players on for 90 minutes week in, week out.

Really see how well our fitness levels are then! LOL.

Did nobody watch the game and see Dyer go down in the 44th minute? Maybe, just maybe he was struggling!

But no, surely not. Brendan just wanted to lose the game and thought bugger it, I'll take him off for a laugh!

    Doubful!

10 minutes to go he could have coped. Unnecessary and poor substitutions cost us to a degree but the other cause was a panicked defence that lost all its shape.

Dyer going off was the least disruptive of all the subs, and I have no problem with Dyer going off before the 90 on a regular basis, because his game is based on pace, and until his stamina catches up with his pace, we are better off taking him off so he is rested for the next game. However, putting on a third centre back is what lost us the game. The second goal, as I have already said, was down to poor defensive positioning, but those holes were opened up by the decision to change the formation. I think Brendan is afantastic manager, but I knew this was gonna happen at some point, because he did it last year, and it had a similar effect on us against poorer teams. I hope he has more belief in the system next time around
