Morning chaps...woke up all excited. Cannot get back to sleep but .... feck it .....who needs bed! Days like these have been a long time coming and should be savoured like one of Fergie's fine wines.
I remember watching Utd play us in the Vetch pre-seaon a year or 2 ago, with Mr Konchelskis and a Mr Dublin new signings. A good game but we were outplayed. I just hope we give a good account of ourselves.

No doubt the extra time off/lack of congestion would have allowed Utd to prepare and pinpoint our game a bit more than if it had been just after a Champions league week, so who knows. Will Vorm continue to be pressed in posession? Will Utd copy Man City's rope a dope style for the first half, which was effective against us? They definately have the pace to worry us also.
    It should be a cracker.
Hope the visiting Utd fans enjoy your stay, bt I'm hoping we can get something today.

    Lets enjoy it lads STID

Out of interest, how do you feel about having to share a stadium with these glory hunters for all the other matches this season? Once they've reverted back to being Swans 'fans'.

It makes me sick, as I didn't even get a chance to buy a ticket. Lots of people feel the same way.

Edit: That's a depressing start to the day... I'll be more cheery...

I'm so bloody excited! Argh! Might be playing footie at 3 so should just get back in time to watch it! Swwaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnssssseeeeeaaaaaaa!

Two ways of looking at it , they bring revenue into the club by buying tickets and ensuring that the club progresses, some on here are calling them not true fans etc and are plastic, but without them we would only be getting a few thousand at our games. You know we doubled our support on the move to the liberty, so they were plastic also!

The other way to look at it, well there is no other way really, we must cash in on being in the best league in the world, so people are going to miss out , that's what happens when you are over subscribed for things.

They do indeed bring revenue but these are the ones that will fade away should you eventually get relegated. Funny that clubs like ourselves who are constantly having the 'plastic' finger pointed at us, as if everyone who ever supported United becomes a plastic fan just because we're in a rich vein of success at the moment, and now clubs such as yourselves have plastic fans. It's the way it is in the top league I guess.
At least Swansea's plastic fans are going to the game, most of Uniteds fans haven't been anywhere near Manchester, let alone a match.

Neither have loads of ours until today. Every other home game (as far as I'm aware) tickets have made it to general sale. Man Utd? Tickets hardly got past season ticket holders, and there'll be huge amounts of people watching their first Swans/Man Utd match today I'm sure, but that's the last time I want to talk about that issue on a day of football joy!

Unlike Liverpool, United are more ruthless with chances, Swans will be Very happy with a point but I see 0 points for the swans

Decent point. The Swans need to attack from the off and get the first goal, or we could be in trouble.

Some great interviews I've stumbled on here. One with Leon Britton, and any Man Utd fans reading this, have a read because it demonstrates how far the Swans have come in a period where our opponents today have rarely fallen from the top 2 of British football - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/leon-britton-loving-the-big-time-6263917.html

...and one from Ashley Williams, about to make his 153rd consecutive appearance for the club (as long as you include the playoffs...and why wouldn't you?!) talking about playing for a club a little more "directly" in touch with the fans - http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/nov/18/swansea-ashley-williams

A bite ;) well the first visit was before an FA Cup final where Utd used the Liberty for a training session, can't remember the exact cup final though, but I do remember it being on the official website .

Yes I'm sure he does, as those two clubs are our peers and equals.
