Well thats stupid but wouldn't suprised me. Even so, that would only give them 2 shots on target so the point remains. Looks like it was just one of those days where we weren't going to ever get anything from the game. The international break came at the complete wrong time for us after 2 wins in a row - couldn't carry the momentum on.
What a ridiculous match. I so hope that's all of our "unluck" gone for the season and we get some good results soon. I'd like to be in the top 4 by christmas, if we are then I think we can be confident of that top 4 finish.
We're still in the top four, Newcastle United could pinch 4th if they pick up three points in their game.. Not all doom and gloom though. Upwards and onwards!
Have you not set him to ignore yet? I wouldn't even have known what he said if you hadn't quoted him! Glad to see I was right to ignore him.
No Stoke are in the top 4. But it's still no doom and gloom, people were saying before the match that 3 games don't make a season, and the same is correct for 4 games. If we win at Spurs, then that's 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in 5 matches, average of 2 points a game and that should be enough to average out into a top 4 spot.
Initial reaction - we'll play a hell of a lot worse and win comfortably this season. We have to accept that if we play attacking pass and move we are going to have days were home teams park their own bus!
TBH I think we're gonna have another yo-yo season. We'll be in and out of the top 4 constantly and I think we'll be very inconsistent. That's not to say we won't get fourth, but I think it'll be decided towards the end of the season. Wasn't impressed today, sure we had a bit of drive after conceding but nothing happened. It takes a top team to turn a game around like that and (unfortunately) if it were United vs Stok they would have come from behind and the game would've ended u 3-1 to them in the end. Shows we still have a long way to go and a lot of player gelling left to do to. sigh.
Arsenal won't be overtaking you the way their playing. Mind you they might if they get that level of luck every week.
Correct. Although I think the mistake was keeping Kuyt on during the first half, and putting Suarez up front on his own. Stoke are going to park their bus if they score, we know that - so we should have just invited pressure and gone on the counter.
You don't have a team?? What the **** are you doing spending your Saturday afternoon on a football forum? ****ing sad ****
