Agreed...and agreed Suarez will be a key to many games this year unlocking tight defences etc and Carroll even if he's not scoring a goal a game will be useful as our "battering ram" to help soften up defences in the first hour or so of a game and give others the chance to benefit from opposition defenders with tired legs later on in a game. What I do hope Kenny encourages in him is to attack the ball more in the box and mix things up a bit i.e. go across the front post a bit more often and drag defenders out of position...oh and I hope not to see as many corners floated to the back corner of the box today Carroll should be in the middle more hassling the centre halfs and getting under the nose of the keeper. This exactly! Against Arsenal, Adam just floated it to the back of the box where Carroll was with 3 guys marking him at times, they dealt with it every time. If he tries something different and tries to pick out Agger for example near the front I think we would have more success.
Yeah i agree. On LFC TV yesterday they were using Soto as an example of how Carroll should be attacking the ball during a corner. They were spot on as Soto often stayed in the middle jumped and powered the ball past a helpless keeper. Carroll badly needs to be finding these positions in the box.
I really hope we keep Agger playing as long as possible. We forget how good he is sometimes. He should deal with Davies today - and I'm a big fan of Davies. Agger is strong, an aerial presence (especially in the box) and composed on the ball... if he wasn't injured so often he'd be our Danish Lucio.

I agree we need to vary the whole set peice routine and sometimes just use Carroll as a decoy to take the defenders best ehader out of the danger zone as we have others that can use their head like Agger, Kuyt, Skrtel if he plays. I'm suprised Adam has tended to float them to the back post, when he used to whip them into dangerous positions for Blackpool last year. P.S How many times is Kevin Davies going to fall to ground like a 5 year old girl today after being touched by one of our defenders? My guess is about 8. This guy goes down easier than an Essex girl after speaking to her for 20minutes...
