over all an enjoyable game to watch. downing, henderson and adam all had good games, kuyt had his usual all action game and suarez was brilliant! lucas bossed the midfield easily controlling the bolton players and enrique had a stormer. shame about the slip right at the end. all in all a great performance, slick movement and quick passing, it looks good for the season ahead
Gutted about that goal at the end, one of the least deserved goals since Hernandez' goal last season against us.
SOrry... can't read much so sorry if I repeat anything anyone else said- got my eyes dilated before the games at the optometrist...computer screen STILL looks blurry 3 hours later- ... fortunately didn't affect long distance so could watch the game. 1) Great Performance from our lads- but as much as we accuse other teams of rolling over for United- I almost feel like Bolton rolled over for us the 2nd half. That wasn't the real Bolton- Bolton can play much better than that. Great performance from our lads- but that was not Bolton's best. Bolton will do better this season than this game would imply. 2) It's rare you come away from a 3-1 victory thinking the ref was absolute bollocks... but... the ref was absolute bollocks. I liked how he let the game flow- but so many big decisions went erroneously against us. 3) We're much more artistic under Kenny. Rafa was a great manager- but we lacked creativity. Rafa's team was like the blueprint to the Empire State building. Kenny's team is like the Mona Lisa. 4) Did anyone notice Carroll didn't have a goal disallowed today? <shock> 5) Suarez DESERVED a goal. If anyone on the field deserved one it was Suarez. 6) Goal aside- Henderson looks a lot better much more involved today. 7) I've got a butt-hair bikini. My hair above my butt makes me look like I'm wearing a bikini from behind. 8) Adam... glad he got a goal- but he's still wasting possession from long wasted shots. He has some great range passing... an eye from goal- but I wish he would limit his chances to when he has chances. 9) Downing is proving to be better than I ever gave him credit for... and I was never a basher. 10) Enrique is doing well too. Kenny and Comoli seem to know what they're doing. Although, I still think Carroll needs to improve a lot.
Suarez was the deserved man of the match, he was awesome. It was yet another sublime performance. A number of special mentions have to go out to Lucas who has carried last seasons form into this season, and was wonderful. Charlie Adam who has to one of the buys of the transfer window, the other being the impeccable Jose Enrique. Apart from a Jamie Carragher mistake which spoiled a wonderful performance, but I think we can easily forgive him for it. It was excellent. I also think Jordan Henderson may have shut a lot of the doubters up. It was his best game in a Liverpool shirt so far, not that he's really done anything wrong in the games he's played. Stewart Downing was a constant threat.
