The funniest thing about this thread is that I was expecting DragonPhil to be a teenager. After looking at his profile I saw he is a retired businessman <laugh>
    What a twat.

And when my son plays for you tomorrow he'll have a Liverpool vest under his Swans kit. Bit like Toshack.

Can't argue with the comments on MOTD this week! Bit like last week, Hansen seems to really be coming round to the fact that we can play good football! I like the way Buck puts it, we're a little club that plays football like a big club - doesn't mean we will get the results of the big clubs, but if we stick to our principles, we'll stay up and can invest more into the academy and playing squad. The longer we stay up, the better we will get - dependent on us never changing our style! The clubs that go down are either clubs that play rubbish football and can't score goals, or teams that play great football but are terrible at defending. We are neither of those descriptions, so as long as we keep doing what we are doing, we will progress over time and could even establish ourselves in the Premiership.

I read on some Liverpool fan forum a comment which read "They're as attacking as Blackpool with none of the stupidity". The West Brom side from a few years ago that got relegated 'playing football' were also a side which looked good on the eye but were stupid/naive in defence. We aren't that, so let's stick to our guns, not reform to the norm, and establish ourselves in the Prem playing our way. I'm wholly convinced that this style of football is the key to becoming a force in football.

Phil, Sorry to butt in on your "fun", mate, but frankly I'm disappointed with your posts on this thread. Like the rest of the Swan's fans I understand your elation that we played well and got a deserved point. What I don't understand is why you've decided to go to war against the Liverpool posters and their club.

OK, some of them were a bit condescending pre-match but your barbed volleys have sprayed the "innocent" as well. There have been many decent posts on this thread from some Liverpool lads acknowledging that we deserved a point today and good on them. Let's be honest, Liverpool are an established PL side with great tradition and we are the newbies at this level so it was reasonable to expect that they would win the game. I thought they would. As it transpired they could have won it but so could we have. It was a great game and one of the best no score draws I have seen in a while.

I thought our lads were magnificent and not for one second did they look out of place at this level. At the end of the day we are all delighted with the performance but I would deem it a compliment to Liverpool that we feel that way after gaining just a point. As you know we have been exchanging views on various threads for quite some time and I can't ever remember (Cardiff apart) you being quite so scathing as you have been on this thread. Was your cat tortured to death by a Liverpool fan recently?

Seriously, Phil, what I have been reading isn't the Phil I know. Have banter by all means but let's keep it within reason. Winning gracefully is what fosters goodwill on these forums but then we didn't actually win did we, so I'll amend that to drawing gracefully. Anyway, to finish on a positive note, well done and thanks to both teams today, it was great entertainment and good luck to both teams for the rest of the season.

Ok Ivor, fair enough, you deserve an explanation, I can't stand Liverpool, don't ask me why, maybe it's because we have so many of these plastic Liverpool fans in Swansea, or maybe I can't stand that Scouser accent, but it was a big mistake for a few of their Muppet's to give it big, on this thread, (HTR didn't help with his boot licking, hell that makes me want to vomit) so there you have it, I never for one moment, thought we were in any danger of getting a pasting from this Liverpool side, and I don't mind some of our fans giving respect to a team that deserves it, but this one does not, and all this big club rubbish, reminds me of the Leeds supporters and where are they, Liverpool are on the decline in my view, no where near the team they used to be, of yesteryear! Sorry....................

Phil honestly you need to grow the hell up, there are many connections with Liverpool over the years and some of our best players actually played for both teams! The fact that there plastic fans in the game has sod all to do with the utter bile you have expressed on here!

The supporters of Liverpool on here don't deserve it, I notice you didn't have the same opinions of the plastic fans who supported man city, arsenal or chelsea who we have played, and who have supporters in swansea, and we play man utd next and I guess you won't have the bile for them !

Criticising HTR because he was showing some respect on here, and accusing him of being a boot licker just shows you up as someone who is extremely childish, or extremely pissed! Sorry don't know which !

I have respected your opinions on here phil and found them quite funny at times, but on this you are wrong! I happen to agree on our players not showing respect and being over awed by the clubs we are playing, but it shouldn't extend to the fans, and especially to ones we have no history with on here !

...and even worse, he's a moderator and should be leading by example! With the lofty position comes a degree of responsibility.

There is that, but I was impressed with daglish's congratulations letter to Brendan on promotion to the premier league and his comments about our club. Also the respect that they showed for the miners and the fund raising they did, it wasn't just chelsea who raised money for them.

Respect and courtesy costs nothing, banter is great of course, and I have enjoyed it on here , well with an exception or two.
