Fox isn't very good but he's not as bad as people on here make him out to be, having said that I'm surprised Clyne didn't get the nod ahead of him.
I love Adam and the loyalty he has shown the club when we were down a league of two, but he isn't Captain material and yes, he does need a big game today. Hope he does.

I remember a Punch interview from last season, maybe the season before, where he said everyone there sees Lallana as a "Mr. Southampton". His Premier League performances have hardly justified it.
I cant think of a worse left-back in the premier league in all honesty. I'm not even jumping on the bandwagon, I've been saying he's not up to it since the championship. Having said that, I would absolutely love it if he proves me wrong today.
Other than fox I guessed that team spot on. Out of Adam and Jay I think Adam gives us slightly more at the moment. Be interesting seeing how we set up. My guess is Lambert slightly off Osvaldo
Clyne does not look that comfortable on the left. Lets be honest he didn't have to do much defending against Sunderland. Did Cork go off for Reed against Barnsley?
Since or during the championship? Perfectly good enough for the championship but has seemed to be lacking for PL
I don't rate Joe Bennett defensively. Considering who he was playing for, Andre Santos was a massive let down. Paul Robinson arguably wasn't good enough for the PL. Stephen Crainey likewise.
During the championship to be honest. He frustrates me so much, he never keeps it simple and always knocks it long which results in us losing possession. Hopefully pochettino has coached it out of him, because I will admit that at the real sociedad friendly I thought he looked good when he came on. He actually beat a man on te outside and got a cross in, which I think was the first time I'd ever seen him take it past someone.
I've been saying he's not up to it since the championship as well (I was a harding fan), however just his presence doesn't mean we're doomed! People on this forum go OTT with his criticism, to the point where they'll blame him for others mistakes.
So you don't think he was good enough for the championship? Fans got on his back unnecessarily in that season.
I honestly didn't think he was. Didn't get on his back too much, but I thought he was the clear weak link in the team. Not so much because of a lack of ability, but because he just didn't suit our style at all and didn't seem to be adapting any time soon. We'll see today if he's adapted to Poch at all.
Fox was a good left back for the Championship, which is what he was bought for. Like other players that have moved on I don't think he was bought with the PL in mind, its just that we got there early and before Shaw was ready to play the whole season, so we were light in that position and didn't manage to strengthen. That said he is an international left back and although he looked out of position for a number of goals last season this can be put down to others not tracking back or coming across. This left him two on one and no matter what he done was going to be exposed.
