Three things changed the game in February, and it wasn't Diaby getting sent off.

    1. Walcott got subsituted when Wenger went defensive. Walcott destroyed us, we couldn't deal with him. Taking him off was a massive mistake by Wenger.
    2. Squilacci replaced Djourou when he got injured.
    3. Rosicky came on and was shocking.

Now, Walcott won't play on Sat, Squilacci and Rosicky may both play. If this happens then I think we have a chance. Especially with the likely injury list Arsenal will have. I really hope RVP isn't fit though as he's almost unplayable on his day.

I'll go for 1-1. Both sides will be happy with that from the opening fixture.

Got a bad feeling about this game, I'll go for 0-3 I'm afraid, I'd take that now if you could guarantee me a win next week <ok> I reckon this will be the line up:

    Bench - Harper - Williamson - R Taylor - Ferguson - Guthrie - Lovenkrands - Ameobi

Can't see Barton playing but if he is in contention then I'd play him instead of Marveaux on the right.

I would like to see the following:

    ...........................Krul (Harper is injured?)

    Simpson/Tavernier........Taylor........Coloccini........Enrique

    ......................Tiote.....................Gosling......................

    Obertan.........................Cabaye.......................Gutierrez

    ........................................Ba........................................

Possibly too soon for Obertan and Tiote though.

    ---------------Szczesny--------------
    Sagna-----Cahill--Vermaelen---Leighton B
    ---------------------Song----------------------------
    ----------Fabregas----Wilshere-----------------
    Walcott---------------------------------Gervinho
    -----------------------RVP---------------------------

Now that would be a very strong side, as long as we get the transfers right.

That could win the league for you, but surely you'd start Nasri over Walcott?

No. Nasri isn't as good on the wing. Walcott is more effective per game.

Fair enough. I don't personally rate Walcott too highly. But have always thought he is decent off the bench.

I think it's far too easy to forget his age. He's very young. And he is very effective. The trouble was after his England hatrick he was meant to be Messi, he isn't. He's a winger waiting to become a striker and this move will occur sooner or later. A lot of Southampton fans blame Arsenal for "ruining" Walcott. They're foolish. He is constantly improving. The differences between last season and the season before are obvious and that is true for every season. I think what is telling is that he brings his best game for the biggest sides, so he is talented. The rest is just rounding him off.

I hope he does fulfill his potential and play more consistently. How much do you think Oxlade-Chamberlain will play this year?

I haven't seen enough of him to really say. I can only go on hearsay and I hear he is better than Walcott was at an equivalent age. However, you're comparing a championship Walcott to a league 1 Alex.
Unlike Bale and Walcott, he seems to be a footballer first and an athlete second. The other two are athletes who happen to play football. He's quite stocky, and that suggests he will be powerful. He's not done growing yet either I reckon. He could easily be 6ft+ in a few years.

He's likely to get a lot of cup time, maybe some sub appearances in games we've already wrapped up. Depends entirely on how he performs.

Obertan, possibly, but Tiote had a member of staff out wherever he was with him working on fitness whilst his visa was being sorted, so he's ready to go <ok>
