I wonder who's better, Obertan or Routledge?

Both similar end product wise but it has to be Obertan for me.

From what I've seen of both, Routledge.

Routledge created so many chances and goals, Obertan has had 1 good game, pile of ****e that he is!

Routledge's final ball was better than Obertan's.

It's hard to recollect but I never really liked Routledge as a prem player for us, even in the game against PSV he looked weak against stronger opposition.

Graham , Allen & Caulker , maybe even Agustien , all being back for this game is huge . They'll all be looking to make an impression . Were about to go into all cylinder mode just in time for the holidays . Newcastle better not snooze on this one . 3 - 0 Swans , all goals from set pieces .... after only 20 minutes .

    Nice and confident, Cracker!

Some NUFC blogs. Apparently Perch is starting?

For me, it's funny as most Toon fans will be worrying about their lack of physicality/cohesion in defence? Would that be fair to say? In the Swans you're probably up against the opposition least likely to capitalise on that in the league! We'll just play our football and see what happens. Obviously, if we do it well it'll undoubtedly help if you're minus the majority of a first choice back four, but I can't see us bombarding the area!

On another note, how did you get Davide Santon?! He was one of the world's top-rated youngsters at one point! How's he doing for you guys?

If you play your usual style on the ground then I think we'll be alright. It looks likely that Colocinni should be back which is a massive bonus. We were crucified at Norwich with balls into the box as we had a RB and utility man (Perch) playing CB. The result last weekend was inevitable and most of us saw it coming a mile off.

With Colo back we should be a lot tighter and he can help whoever plays CB with him (Simpson, Perch or Williamson). With him in the team I think we'll win, and there's a chance Tiote may return.

As for Santon, **** knows how we got him! And for a pretty small fee. I wondered the same when we signed Ben Arfa last season. He's only started one PL game (last week), but looks quick and strong, a danger going forward and by the end of this season will probably dislodge Simpson from RB. He's not started many as Pardew hasn't wanted to upset a settled back four that did so well early on in the season. But now with injuries to S Taylor and Colo he had no choice and Santon has his chance.

My verdict for tomorrow - a nervy 2-1 Toon win.

Let's hope both your team and supporters fare well in bad weather, it's snowing at the moment.

" Nice & confident Cracker " not really , more revenge than anything after their 3 headed monster start in the first 20 minutes the last time they hosted us . Our box came under aerial assault & before you knew it , it was over before it almost even started

Bit more excited now! Tomorrow I either have the prospect of playing footie, or watching the Swans. Win win. Unless both are called off, of course! Is it snowing bad up there? It's actually quite sunny here...

Great article, really looking forward to the game but I think it will be won or lost on how many of Tiote, Colo and Williamson are back. Or how good Abeid is if he plays.

Routledge shouldnt be booed as he did nowt wrong, Pardew just didnt rate him. And Obertan's had more than one good game to be fair to him, 4 or 5 off the top of my head.

Unless it snows over night there will be no problems. Just wet roads at the moment.

swans are in newcastle but unless the toon do everything possibe to protect the pitch then it wiil be called off......that will suit us better as we are not as physical or as strong as the toon at the moment but should rectify that in january where we will be better prepared....

It isn't in anybody's best interest to have the game called off. Some of your guys have already travelled up and others will have paid for travel and won't be able to get a refund if the games called off, and I can't see either side wanting a backlog of games to get through.
