It should be pointed out that there is a long way to go and we are talking about 5 games here with a number of new players. I just fear for the tactics we are currently employing. I hope Dyche shows more flexibility than certain previous managers in this respect. PS. I may have been a little harsh on Loach, looking at the highlights it was a clear foul.
haven't been on Not 606 in a while, my view of the game was that it was a game dominated by two good sets of defences for the first 80 minutes, with neither team wanting to poor forward so as to lose after poor starts to the season. Birmingham's only threat in the first half was from corners (which they scored from), whilst we got only got a couple of sights of goal, which either Yeates or forsyth should have scored from. In the second half, we pushed forward a lot more, yet again not being able to beat the goalkeeper with Myhill making a couple of very good saves from Eustace and a Curtis Davies back header. Hogg we better than Jenkins in my opinion at being the central midfielder who pushes forward. Sordell and Weimann were ok, but we played it too direct sometimes up to two small strikers. We seemed to improve once Deeney came on, he just gave us a bit more urgency on the wing. In the end we did enough to get a draw, was not impressed by Birmingham at all who were one of the favorites for promotion, we really found it quite easy to dominate them in the second half, with a silly error gifting them their only chance, which of course they scored from.
