So it's confirmed, no Osvaldo on the bench, surprising Pochettino didn't mention that when he was asked about injuries. Interesting to see Ramirez and Tadanari Lee(!) included. Not much attacking impact from the bench, unless Gaston can show why he should be picked...
So it seems likely at least one of Gaston, Guly and Tadanari will get a decent run-out, big opportunity.
FULHAM: Stekelenburg; Riether, Senderos, Amorebieta, Richardson; Ruiz, Sidwell, Parker, Kasami; Berbatov; Bent. BENCH: Stockdale, Kacaniklic, Karagounis, Duff, Hughes, Rodallega, Zverotic.
Recurrence? Did someone else tread on his foot? Hangeland confirmed out for Fulham, so at least we're not the only ones missing important players.
Mauricio could at least have announced Osvaldo was out early enough for me to change my goal scorer....no consideration.
I had Ossie to score first at 5/1 with betfred....just changed it to Fonte at 25/1...fingers crossed.
Hangeland has been poor in recent weeks so may have been dropped for Amorebieta. To be honest that attacking Fulham side may be a benefit for us.
Sorry, but can not see them hitting anyone on the break. They do not have any quick widemen, Villa fans say that Bent lost any speed he may have had when he was injured and Ricki would give Berba a good race
Hangeland being out could be more of a blessing for them. Have to say with Fulham's attacking players on show they certainly have potency but leaves them pretty light in midfield and Berbatov, Bent and Ruiz tend to be passengers without the ball. On paper an ideal side to press, but will probably be the 485th test of Southampton FC vs. A Team Sitting In Their Own Half And Playing On The Counter.
