please log in to view this image Was at the game.....very comfortable for Watford...we weren't amazing but the defence was rock solid, and we were composed....not many mistakes. Disappointing for Sordell.....who didn't really seem with it today.....but we got our first win and it was away from home vs a decent Reading side. Let's carry this on to Barnsley.
marvs had 3 games in 10 days 2 international level the lad is entitled to be a bit leggy! was double marked as well which made room for others!
omg, i can't stop smiling..today was such fun, the atmosphere was great, the team were great! the score is great! We're 16th, and i'm very happy! The only blot on the day is Cardiff winning, but even that can't dampen my spirits today! lol
Just got back. Spoke to a few Reading supporters on the way. They were sort of resigned so most I spoke to were not overly surprised. Can agree with most of the comments above, great atmosphere, great banter, good beer and pasty at £6.30. I'll just say extras to what has already been said: I thought Sordell was ok. He held the ball up well but at times was isolated when we hoofed it. I also think people, as one guy behind me, who think he is lazy are wrong. I just think he knows when he is not going to get there and instead looks for space if we quickly get it back. There were lots of good things from many. That was pleasing. I thought Mari had a good game. Worked hard and did some simple things well. Loved the first goal Liked we showed we could pass it around in midfield then get a break especially down the left. Liked watching Sean working in and outside his area. The comparison with McDermott was impressive. As entertainment for a dedicated 'orn 8/10
Between Birmingham and Barnsley, nine of our first choice XI will have trained together for the full three weeks, with only the short trip to Reading to worry about. From Sordell and Weimann's perspective they could have done with an extra two or three days' rest before today's match, but at least they know just how far this team has come while they've been making names for themselves with their countries. When we were asked a few weeks ago if we were worried, I said the results were worrying, but felt that things looked on the verge of clicking into place. If we play like we have in the vast majority of league games this season, we should take 4-7 points from the next three. If we do we'll be well set for the rest of the campaign.
what a good result to get up to. I went to bed too late, because of the rugby, to follow the game live. We always seem to do better when I sleep through a match, anyway.
Would you mind awfully if I sent you a large box of sleeping pills??? "you are feeling sleepy, your eyelids are heavy, don't fight it"
I updated the thread as I am just returned. I had Little Ak trying to get the score on Frú's Blackberry and it worked. Excellent win.
I go on a football forum with quite a lot of smilies to choose from! On here there's no menu of smilies :/
MM if you look to the right of the post quick reply button there is the go advanced button. Click that and you will see a selection of smilies on the right hand side. Click more and there are lots to choose from.
There are loads of smilies sites out there, the choices on not606 are very limited...one day there may be more...it would be good if there were...
Im sure that one day when the current issues are resolved we can ask mick to add some. The issue is where do you draw the line. we could end up with 1000's. But more would be nice, but then again its nice to keep them individual and special.
