If it's any consolation our game was pretty similar, just instead of shooting on the many occassions they had chance to it sounds like they tried walking it into the net instead. So both of us lost after totally dominating a game.

You can breathe a bit easier Zola, Big Dan will STILL be willing to shake yer hand.Hopefully you'll see him before the play offs Mr Dan to discuss tactics. Anyway, everyone knows the reason for lack of success in the last few weeks is all down to the hatred of all refs towards the club, and their love of all the other 91.

Well done Maestro,a bit of putting boot in before the game had EVEN FINISHED last night!!(always seem to start with a ' hate to say it'). Not sure what your interest is anyway, no mention of Watford in your details... bit like that Creepy Dave of Norfolk Fame.

Gotta go, got Old Pozz as I know him coming thru on the other line. He's getting to be a bit of a pest...getting a bit bored with him, hopefully he's got your number too Dan.

    No problems oldnickhornet.
Being a football fan I follow certain teams with interest for various reasons,
Have kept an eye out for Watford ever since the early 80s when a mate invited me to Vicarage Road. I even got tickets for the cup final and went with him as a 'Watford Groupie'. Call me a glory hunter if you like. Have been a few times since as well, not only when Norwich have played there.
Now then, if you really object that strongly to me being on your board, I suggest you have a word with either of 'your' moderators on this board, babyhornetdan or Hornette_TID, and ask them to have a word with the super moderator on here, and request that I be banned from your board. Until that happens, I shall continue to visit this board, and as long as I don't upset the locals and break any rules that this board has, there shouldn't be a problem should there?

Massively frustrating night - cant fault the effort, particularly in the 1st half but the belief in front of goal seems to have deserted them. We deserved to win on the balance of play and had 1 of the 'pens' been given it could have been v different story (I dont know why referees seem to have it in for us more than ever this year). However we shouldnt have had to rely on these if Deeney had put away 1 of his 2 good chances 1st half or Yeates finished his 1 on 1 better. Vydra seems to have been sulking since January and rumours are that he was tapped up during the transfer window - hope he snaps out of it soon - 1 superb run half way through the 1st half provided a swift reminder of his undoubted potential - but too often the final ball wasnt where he wanted it so he just walked away shaking his head. Felt sorry for Geijo - when I have seen him he has looked a pretty good player - but to come on in the game last night having not played for 2+ months against ****tu and the even taller (?!) Beevers was a tall order (literally) particularly as we all of a sudden started lumping it up to him.
I wanted to make 2 final points and get peoples views on these:
    1. Is the fact that we didnt sign more of the loanees in January affecting us? - Imagine you are in a job not knowing where you will be the following year? It may affect the desire and dedication of the players?
    2. A lot of people have commented that we have looked 'tired' - I dont know about the rest of you but I commute from Bushey to Oxford most days and then get home to look after 2 young children. The last long holiday I had was in July. Do I feel 'tired' after a long year? Yes. Do I still do the same job with as much dedication and fervour - of course. These are young 18-25 year old (in the main) men who train 4 days a week and the rest of the time go out with friends to the cinema or to bars etc. The rest of the time they are playing the game they love and getting paid an awful lot to do so. I think to say they are tired is actually bordering on the offensive. Basketball players in the NBA play 80 odd games over a 5 month period, baseball players even more.

If the answer to the 1st Q is yes and the 2nd is true then it shows a distinct lack of professionalism...

The time for excuses is over. Zola needs to stop saying how 'the performance was very good', like he did last night and start telling the players some home truths. For all of the excitement and quality of this season to not get promoted now will be a massive massive disappointment given the quality of the squad that we have. The players need to also take some responsibilty and get this season back on track before it peters out to nothing....

Keep believing - we can still do this!

and if you want a quick laugh ......as I was sitting on the tube heading home last night I saw an advert for Harry Potter world - I remarked to my sister, "its not particularly big - I wonder what they have there to make it worth £20+ to go to. What a waste of money". My sister replied "you just spent £26 watching Watford lose to Millwall" - touche :)

When my sister was with us, she pleaded with me to take her to a game.
I took her to see us play you in 1984. We hammered you, but that was just before the cup semi finals if memory serves me correctly.
She really got into it (or so I thought) and was yelling for Norwich to score. All my mates were impressed and urged her on, until she said that she didn't care who won as long as she could see the little man on the scoreboard jump up and down.

Merely curious why you were a bit of a regular thats all.

Cant see these moderators ever banning anyone, unless a certain one of em excludes anyone in black with a whistle in mouth.
