Like others on here, I feel that the two key moments were the penalty miss and the injury to Payne. Rooney put in a more mature performance than I have seen in the past, so maybe his game is developing at last. Once Payne went off the Midfield had no shape or balance and as a result the Shrews counter attacked almost at will without runners being tracked. The back four performed very well in the absence of any defensive support from the midfielders. Dennis Oli looks out of his depth and probably needs a fresh challenge elsewhere. Does anybody know where Danny Spiller was? I have been surprised at the repeated decision to sub him in previous games and he is miles better than Montrose in my book. I am also unsure as to why Weston is apparently struggling to match the level that he played at last season. I thought Lee was a little disappointing as he is clearly capable of influencing a game far more than he did on Saturday. In summary, too many poor performances in the middle (excluding Rooney) and not enough support to Kedwell up top.
