Mark just hasn't got to grips with the new tyres and seb has that doesn't make seb superman..just lucky that the tyres suit his style. And there is such a thing as a perfect lap, it's the lap where a driver clips every apex gets the drive just right and gets every ounce of performance out of the car, in my view only one driver has ever achieved this and then only once.
It was Monaco but it wasn't Senna the driver in question got third on the grid, also the team he was driving for kept a video of his lap to show to future wannabe's as an example of how a car should be driven. And his team mate qualified 21st 2.6 seconds slower than him. Put it this way by todays standards it would be like getting an HRT into Q3.
I suppose when Vettel has an older engine and different gearing and still spanks Webber it will be because Webber's wearing the wrong coloured underpants. He's being roundly trounced by a team-mate like Senna v Berger or Schumacher v Barricello, except he doesn't have Berger or Barricellos excuse of following team orders as he always ignores them. Alesi was a great driver, just made some really mistimed career decisions. And as for the thread itself, I think Lewis needs to sort his head out and get back to having his dad as his manager, at least his dad will always have Lewis's best interests at heart.
Thats it J Alesi 1990 driving a Tyrrell ford an absolute dog of a car in fact they should have put a lead on it, tied it to a tree and called the vet. It was why all the top teams at the time were clambering for his services, like the spec savers ad says "he should have gone to Williams" Apologies to the OP for straying off topic
Not as much of a dog as you think. It was the first car to have a raised nose section. Very much a trend setter!
I thought the raised nose was introduced in '91. I could be wrong on that though. 20 years ago is starting to get fuzzy.
It would appear so. Fuller doesn't have the foggiest idea about f1, Hamilton's letting his own hype get to his head. Ron would sort that out. He even made Kimi Raikkonen be bothered to drive well.
Lewis just looks like he's beaten he spent most of the race trapped behind Schumi whilst Jenson just romped up to them passed them both and drove off down the road, don't ask me what is going on because I don't have a scooby
It didn't seem like Schumacher was defending as aggressive when Button arrived. His tyres were shot to death... but so were Jensons.
Lets not forget it was Hamilton's own fault he was stuck behind Schumacher- he was caught napping on the restart. Yet another mistake from the McLaren man. If he had been alert then 2nd was certainly possible for Lewis.
Do you think McLaren have the 2nd fastest car? If so, I can't understand your second point about them having the best pair of drivers, given that they are 3th and 5th.
In a word: YES. He's massively underperforming, but I fully expect him to bounce back, beat Button in the championship(even if overall his performance year round isn't as good) and come good again next year. The guy is prodigious - everyone has a bad season some time.
