We've caught them in limbo it seems, just before they can play their new players but just after they sold all their others!
Hi Saints fans, I don't think our signings will make much difference to our starting line-up (apart from Berbatov leaving). We'll more than likely play with the same team that started against Arsenal and Swansea with Dempsey moving up top instead of Berba and Holtby coming into midfield. I must admit I've been impressed with you lot lately and after your last performance we'll have to be at our best to get anything. It won't however be anywhere near as easy as the game at St. Marys, which was embarrassing on our behalf. Anyways, best of luck for the rest of the season (excluding tomorrow obviously).
With regards to lineup I would play: Boruc Clyne - Fonte - Maya - Shaw Cork - Morgan Lallana - Davis - JRod Gallagher Subs - K.Davis, Jos, Chambers, Vic, JWP, Lambert, Guly. Possibly swap Lambert and Gallagher depending on Rickie's fitness. Think we should do well, Holtby may cause problems if he plays, but I have no doubts he'd be a little rusty. Gonna go for a 2-0 Saints win.
Hi FI, I'm hoping that you'll be in limbo with the ins and outs, but I know it doesn't always work like that. I for one think this is a tricky game, but hopefully (for us!) if we play to our strengths we'll do alright. I'm cringing a bit at some of the 'easy game' comments, but I suppose on paper it looks easier than our last game against Arsenal. I reckon a 2-1 Saints victory with us going 2-0 up, you getting your goal back in the 75th minute and throwing everything at us. Good luck for the rest of the season after tomorrow!
Fulham really looked a poor side at Bramall Lane last week. They confuse me a bit as they have plenty of decent individual players, but collectively they seem to be suffering from total lack of confidence. Don't want to jinx anything, but I really think we should be winning this today.
We shouldn't underestimate Fulham if we go in with the wrong attitude we could end up getting bitten on the arse. I remember QPR at home last season when many on here including myself thought would cruise it.
One thing in Fulham's favour is the removal of people like Berbatov and Senderos; both these players hardly exude a strong work ethic with pace and this could give them a better chance of at least closing our marauding players down.
I'd probably keep Chambers in too but I don't think it'd be a particularly bizarre decision to bring back Clyne, Calum has been excellent but Clyne was easily the best RB in the league before he was injured.
and not very good in the game he was brought back in for. I also think that Chambers was one of our best 4 players against Arsenal.
Not sure if this has been posted regards young Sam. Thought it might be the best thread for it. http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/Rap...rgyle-talent/story-20537874-detail/story.html I wonder if he has earned a start today?
I believe Clyne would be better suited to this game. Would fully expect Chambers to play. Luckily for you, I'm not picking the team, Gareth Rogers is.
