Cheers guys Oddy, Stocks are a volatile thing at the moment it seems, value just seemed to get wiped off left right and centre. In saying that, perhaps there is money to be made if you can understand when and to what extent they will recover. What are your thoughts?
Gary yeah I do but am very much a short term investor - buy, quick 10% then out again. I was doing really well this year until these last couple of weeks
Topclass I've just unloaded some today for a pretty big loss, am nervous as hell. Any negative news seems to drive everything down and it feels like a lot of the big players are getting out of stocks - look at the way the gold price has surged in the last month. I think this could be a pretty significant correction, Dow Jones maybe dropping back to 8000. Depends what the next 6 months bring but as I said I've sold up as there seems to be very little confidence and not much liquidity about either. Still in profit this year though and get a hefty slice of tax back from the losses so it's not all doom and gloom. I may play in the short term with smaller stakes as you can easily make 20% in a week if some good news come around.
