2.55 RV, stayed on under tender riding at Sandown. That was a very good race too. Overpriced. Hefner to score today? He is a hugh-ge price (not really but had to be done)
Nass I have just watched the replay I will be backing him today also (sorry) way out the back and did stay on well. <tomato> at the Hugh-ge price though

Had a short break from racing whilst in Mallorca but having a few small bets today. Hope you arer all well Tricky day at HQ but some lovely maidens. 1.20 Newmarket: SEASIDE ESCAPE 22/1- Holds a Fillies Mile entry so has certainly shown glimpses of ability at home. The dam I believe was a 4-time juvenile winner, including on debut and therefore one has to imagine that with a fillies mile entry and the juvenile form in the pedigree, this could go well on debut. I believe the big price is factoring in Brian Meehan- in the sense that his horses tend to improve on second and third starts. However, when he has a good one they can win first time out (Shumoos) and I thought this was worth a play at the prices. 1.50 Newmarket: LYRIC OF LIGHT 7/2- Out of a Chevely Park runner up and by Street Cry, who seemingly has produced a few smart 2 year olds over the last couple of years and therefore I have this one down as a horse who should know its job fairly well. Given Al Zaroonis excellent season with his 2 Y Os, I felt this was worth a dabble. 2.20 Newmarket: ART LAW (NAP) 14/1- Has been steadily progressive in maidens and strikes me as the sort to go really well in a nursery. Improved upped to 1m last time and if building on that, should get involved today.
See what you mean, just watched the rcae once he was straightened up he got going, i think the straight course will suit and i can see him running a nice race a decent odds of 10/1 EW for me.
1.20 Newmarket - Winters Wish & Pearl War both E.W and both 16-1 Winters Wish looks an interesting type on paper for a yard that or 11-28 with their 2yo maidens so far this season. This one is a 75,000 Yearling, Jeremy Noseda can certainly get one ready if they are good enough and although it isn't a positive in the market at the moment he did win a one earlier in the season with Regal Realm who was an unconsidered 25/1 shot. Pearl War is more a selection based on the owners- they look likely to have a strong squad of horses in the future and this looks an interesting debutant, a 110,000 yearling that is bred to be plenty speedy enough. Will probably be one for the future but worth an E.W play today at the price imo
only worry I have with him is that Hughes is on. If his winning chance has gone then he won't be hard on him to pick up place money.
OK I'll have the Gosden horse in the 1.20 - Dam won some good races for Geoff Wragg at 7F & 8F including the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot (reversing 1000 GNS form with Sleepytime in spectacular fashion). Slight worry on the ground as her mum loved it firm. Owned by the Oppenheimers so hopefully she won't bomb out (I'll get me coat)
The market at Newmarket is often spot on regarding maidens so it looks like Hazel Lavery could be the one
