Like the way he deals with transfers apart from Iwelllllllllloooooooommmmmmmooooooo but we can all buy dodgy players. Dyche has a hard task to follow but as long as we stay up it will be a successful season. Lets get behind the Horns and give him a chance.
An on-form Iwelumo would probably be the best player in this squad. I wouldn't write him off just yet.
Having voted no on this poll when it appeared a few weeks ago I thought I would bring it back to the top of the list as I feel more so than ever that his appointment was made out of convenience when more qualified candidates could have been approached with the funding from MMs wages + compensation. Since his appointment his record on the pitch including friendlies has been very poor, his transfers have been lacking in quality with maybe two exceptions and have also served to block the development of academy players, his playing style is outdated and extremely dull and I am not sure he has the nous, the motivational qualities (judging from his comments in the press at least), the experience, the contacts or the insight to succeed in this role. I am sure others may disagree and am happy to hear your views.
n8tive orn................I'm afraid that you summed it up in my view absolutely perfectly. We were always going to catch a cold with this appointment, but theres nothing we can do about it except get totally behind the team and try to avoid relegation
N8ive I totally agree, we should of gone for experience , a team that's going to fight to stay up usually have lower crowds, hence even less cash being made, his appointment didn't make any sense at the time and it still doesn't now ,
I'm sorry but I disagree with all of you. We were absolutely desperate for numbers. Whether Dyche is using those numbers in the correct way is a legitimate point of discussion, but I can't pinpoint a single signing that didn't make sense (with the possible exception of Buaben and/or Hogg, because with Walker here and McGinn to come back we were fine in that position). Dyche has been too conservative on his matchday selection, and time will tell whether he can cut it as a full time Championship manager. But however things go over the next month or two, I won't hear any slagging off of his performance over the summer.
I am concerned we have bought have bought in many duds that are no better than our kids Like Whichelow massey murray and Britt! I am concerned of the style(or lack of) that SD is playing Many say wait 10 games to see where we are ! well lets be optimistic and assume we break our home duck on tuesday and assume a thumping next saturday that will be 10 points from 10 games point a game will see us relegated! I am concerned about the lack of tactical nous being shown by these so called experienced players surely they must know each others names by now although it certainly didnt look like it yesterday!
Millwall is our lucky club maybe we'll beat them. The players create oppourtunities but they don't convert them, so that isn't Dyche's fault.
I agree we needed to increase the squad , but only when it improves what we had ! To me at the moment this is not the case , if your going to have a relegation season let our kids play it out and give them some experience and fire in the belly to repair the damage next year ,not a load of journeyman who are only intent about picking up their wages! What message are we sending to the kids who had broken through in the last couple of seasons that have been pushed out! I am scared that if things dont change a lot of our young talent will leave the club in the winter! which wont maximise there sale fee potential! which afterall is the whole business model of the club!
i think you're over exaggerating Norway. Firstly, the new players are not 'journeymen', they are Watford players, part of our squad, and we should be behind them. Secondly, only in the last two matches have they, and in truth most of the squad, not played as if their lives depended on it. For the most part, the first games of the season we played very well and weren't rewarded for what should have been winning performances. That has to have an affect on morale, whoever you are. Secondly, the youth, as we all know, were given too much too soon and Dyche has done the right thing to set them back a step and give them the run into the first team that they should have had in the first place.
Gonna have to agree to disagree H although you have seen all the games live ,I have had to make do with tv and computer screens! We seem to have lost our fluid passing game ,the quick give and goes ,the movement that we had! Some of our guys yesterday didnt give the ball carrier any options ,hence we were reduced to hoofball!
we lost it in one game! That doesn't mean we've lost it...patience. Let's see what happens on Tuesday and Saturday. Let's not judge a whole season on one televised game.
ok H the saints game will be a suffering , so the onus is on Tuesday! it could easily be 7 8 or 10 points from 10 games ! which is still relegation form!
i agree, i think we'll be slaughtered on Saturday, but let's see what gives on Tuesday but remember, we always play better against teams that are better than us...so we can analyse again on Sunday!
