Schumacher had four unsuccessful seasons with Ferrari before he won the championship I believe. I can remember a lot being said about Schumacher having input on the technical side of things and the car broke down on the parade lap, he was the laughing stock of the grid for a while before ultimately having the last laugh in emphatic style. It's way too early to write off Alonso's Ferrari career, he's a top driver and they're a top team, I'd be amazed if the partnership didn't yield a title somewhere down the line.

Also, I thought Vettel had made a big mistake tying himself down to the senior Red Bull team, things can change a lot in a short space of time.
