vassel it apppears, is another enigma....has ability, but god knows who can get it out of him...needs to have a an aggression transplant....needs to get angry...someone on the staff needs to sit down and tell him....or the rest of his career will be a steady decline...a career unfulfilled.....what might of been...........

Playing vassel on the wing simply involvez the midfield more meaningfully. He can pass and find himself space in the box or he can change the mentality of a game seeing as hes a experienced striker..

Ok so heres my plan. Buy forlan! Buy that short stoke striker.. Hows about sean wright p. on loao and maynard?

If i were manager i would BUY YAKUBU, Or hold out on our offer for maynard and see what bcfc say be4 window closes. The ball is in our court.

Waggy needs a good run either with us or a loan club - His confidence in his ability is shot to peices from last season - If Waggy is going to get that long run with us, we need to sign a decent striker to be sure of getting the goals we need

I think Vassell could learn abit from Steve Howard, Vassell needs to play a little more with his heart on his sleeve and bash people around abit and stop being so nice. He troubles defenders by not giving up but he doesnt get in their face enough. He should be a faster version of Paul Dickov

I agree he'll be more of a bench player this season but maybe he might be able to create something on a wing coming on with 20 mins left and running at tired legs?

Vassell is a strange kind of player, he is not a winger, nor an out & nad out striker, but also not a Gallagher?

My thinking is Nugent from the left Vassell from the right and Waggy in the middle, all got pace and pretty explosive finishers, give them 10 games?

Waggy deserves his place and a good run to prove what he can do, Vassell and Nugent to be given instructions to run at players?

    <ok>

Vassell has the pace to beat the last defender on through-balls and hassles/presses on defenders. Should have been played in a central role last season might have even scored more than the Yak.

Very under-rated player wasted on the wing.

Not covinced he can be the main striker? he has pace and can beat players, but only for another season, he needs to change his game and develop?

I believe they are loyal and can see what can be achieved even with a bad start (last seeason) they will give the team and manager until January.

I also believe they are loyal to the club and the manager, after all there aren't too many higher profile managers around to sell the brand are they.
But on the other hand they didn't get where they are today by waiting around for things to happen. It seems to me that they like to make things happen.
    Lets hope that they do.

We can't just 'give it 10 games' I'm afraid. 10 games cost us big time last season. Vassell and Waggy won't get the goals we need, Sven should have seen enough by now to realise that. Both are good players but not good enough for the starting 11 we should be aiming for. Vassell may have been once in his career, Waggy may be in the future. But not now. Don't get me wrong, I hope they both play a part but I don't invision either of them being starters in my vision of glory.

Sven knows it's **** or bust this season, he can't afford to experiement. He needs to bring a proven striker in and that's what he's trying to do.

Vassel strong points were obvious against man city. Ironically i dont think the opposition know how to play him, maybe hes just naturally spontaneous/realist on pitch.

I want a striker sven now now now

I really hope that he is on the bench this season, purely from the fact that he has pace to burn and should be used as an impact player later on in games when the opposition are tireing and he will run them ragged.

I'd rather see Vassell as our out and out central striker, or not at all.
Would still be a good sub for any striker we get, but would much prefer to see Gally and Nugent in those wide positions this year.
