Firdaws is now 10/11 with 365 . Good luck to anyone who backed her but there's no way I'd want to get too involved with something at that price when it's never ran before.
Sounds good mate, enjoyed Euro Disney when my girls were younger but hated Turkey Got some nice looking ante post bets running, just 4 for the festival, 2 for the Ebor Blissful Moment and Tominator both at 16s EW, 3 for the Leger and one down! Nathaniel at 50s and 33s for the Arc but feel sure he wont quite be good enough. I'm still on the selective betting too, best thing i ever did mate. Off to 'sunny' Catterick Bridge tonight, desparate card though and canoe racing would be better!! Good to see you back, if you go through the last few weeks threads you will see there is never any trouble, sadly Ron isn't around today to sort them out! He runs things with an iron fist
Would ya really want to take even money an unraced maiden in a large field? Firdaws could be anything, but 10s the Hannon runner Nant Saeson seems value.
Sounds like Graham Wylie is pretty disillusioned and might be quitting the game totally. That will be a huge loss, he puts alot of money into the sport
Gazza (GDC) Catterick Bridge selections: 5.50 Resplendent Light 8/1 EW - staying on LTO over 12f, the extra furlong tonight should suit. The trainer has targeted Apprentice/amateur races with this one and his last win was on Good To Soft and is 2lb better off today. 6.55 Cravat 7/1 apart from teh ground i dont get why this one is so big in th emarket, without doubt has the breeding to perform on soft ground and has been competing in much better company than is on show here today. 8.00 Kalahari Desert 14/1 EW the extra weight he recieves from Blown It through his last race at Catterick on SOft going from a similar draw and his 3rd to Horseradish beaten 2 1/2l on Good to Soft makes him an attarctive EW proprosition. 8.30 Tombellini 14/1 LTO at Catterick on Soft Ground fisnihed 2nd, jockey comes to Catterick from Newcastle for this ride and Nicholls has a goood win to rides ratio at Catterick. There you go, even though Ruth Carr has no runners im sure there will be some fine fillies on show tonight. Hopefully the sun will shine down on you, good luck with your bets and have a good night.
Has he said why he's disillusioned? Is it because of what Johnson's been found guilty of or because he disagrees with the verdict? As for the 1-30, i think there's any number in that race you could put up an each way shout for.
would back the hills horse e/w if a ws backing in the first at newbury, as i';m not backin in the race i wont be backing it
Chippy he thinks they have been way too hard on HoJo, says HoJo treats his horses fantastically etc etc etc etc
You'd have thought they would get to post a bit early - 15 2YOs and hardly any of em loaded 2 mins after post time
You see I think that's pretty interesting. Surely if he had any belief at all that HJ had been maltreating his animals at all he wouldn't have said that? At the end of the day I suppose it boils down to what the vets have been doing but as a trainer it is your duty to make sure that the evt has been doing it by the book. And ignorance shouldn't be any defence. I'm also a bit surprised that the owners don't necessarily know - if I had a horse I would want to know what the vet was doing .
