    I'd keep Gaston on the bench. Palace will be hard to break down and we can't leave all our best attacking options in the 11.

    If Davis was to be dropped then I would have started with JWP to give Clyne support and quality deadball delivery as Gaston hasn't shown anything to warrant a starting place
    Much better coming on at 60 minutes as a potential impact player when the opposition are tiring and there is more space to play in.

    How do you know JWP has gone off the boil? he hasn't played to be assessed. All I saw from Gaston last week was some headless chicken runs followed by a weak pass losing the ball.
