    His CV and credetials are encouraging though. I did quiz the writer "Alex Crook" on this.

    There's no footage of Mauricio saying this and no one else is carrying the same story/quotes.

    Are the Sun making things up............?

    I see this as a laudable and achievable objective. Would we rather he said, 'I'm hoping to maintain mediocrity for the forseeable future.' I suspect that we will see some interesting signings in the summer to be combined with players coming through the youth squad. Poch will also be clear about his player needs and hopefully the right hand will let the left hand know what it is doing in the future.

    I'm highly doubtful if Pochettino said this, if I am being perfectly honest. To one Sun reporter with his own limited English? Hmmm..

    I'm sure the Sun are reporting the quotes faithfully and in the correct context, with their own analysis of the future justified at the end. But without reading it I don't know.

    Usual mixture of fair comment and tosh. One described hs 4-yr tenure at Espanyol as brief and unsuccessful...people in the know said he did wonders at a club selling all his players, including rescuing them from 8 points below safety with only 10 games to go. His last season was his worst with a terrible start resulting in the sack. Another said Cortese was trying to get into the limeight...no one could ever accuse Nicola of seeking publicity. Nicola may be right and he may be wrong, but he is doing this because he thinks it is right and not to achieve notoriety. I'd want to defend Pol Pot faced with our media.

    The Patrick Collins comments in that article are particularly nasty.... Cortese "a clown" ... soon to be disappearing into obscurity and "will not be missed". I don't like what's happened, but Collins needs to turn the clock back 3 years and then have a long hard think about this "clown"

    As far as I know they're all still there except Adkins, Crosby, Stannard and one other whose name escapes me right now. They were Adkins' staff I suppose, as opposed to the performance analysts and fitness people, etc, who were employed by the club.
