This is on the back of West Ham's famous victory over, err, Fulham, which puts them a massive 3 points above the drop zone.
And excited about the return of Carlton Cole. I hear they had been trying to sign him for ages so are over the moon to eventually get him
Now now. I'm sure Little Trixter has been just too busy to post since the start of the season. I'm sure it's purely coincidental that his first appearance in months is on the back of two Southampton defeats and West Ham finally picking up a win. I'm sure he'll be on here regardless of the midweek results. And on the weekend too.
I know this match is in the past now, and we should forget about it, but I will mention the fact that Ramires committed six fouls but somehow didn't even get booked. A couple of the fouls he committed arguably deserved a booking in their own right. I feel like the fact the ref let him get away with committing these fouls meant he had a huge influence on the game. He could commit into challenges that he wouldn't have been able to had he been on a yellow. I'm tempted to look for some footage of the game so I can look at the fouls again. Especially considering that we picked up four bookings. I also feel that the ref gave Chelsea a few soft free kicks at 1-0 despite the fact he didn't give us a free kick for the exact same challenges in reverse at the other end of the pitch. This led to us being under a great deal more pressure than we should have been. Update: Interesting comparison here that just about sums up the ref for me!
